“ | Inhale this fella for the Spark ability, but don't get zapped. | ” | — Description of Sparky from the Kirby: Triple Deluxe website |
Sparky is an enemy that has appeared in several games of the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby's Adventure. It is a drop-shaped life form, usually green or turquoise in color, with a pair of oval, black eyes, and two orbs that were connected to stalks on its body in older games, (presumably hands, but resembled eyes in its original artwork), which it uses to generate electric power. In more recent games, the orbs are not attached to stalks and simply stay attached close to its body. Sparky's only form of defense is creating an electrical barrier around itself, much like that of the Spark Copy Ability, which Sparky provides when swallowed by Kirby. In terms of movement, Sparky typically either sits in place or hops around at a decent pace.

Kirby Battle Royale[edit]
In Kirby Battle Royale, Sparky does not appear as an enemy, but can be seen in the audience for the Attack Riders, Robo Bonkers, and Slam Hockey battle modes.
In the Kirby novel series[edit]
In the Kirby novel series, Sparky makes a brief appearance in Kirby Meets the Squeak Squad!. He is a very short-tempered citizen of Dream Land who lives in a small house near Castle Dedede.
In Kirby Meets the Squeak Squad!, when Kirby is chasing after the Squeaks in the middle of the night, Doc and Spinni stand in his way while Daroach escapes with the treasure. Before Kirby can fight them, Sparky comes in to complain about all the racket. Kirby notices that they are right in front of his house. Sparky is mad at them for making noise in front of his house at such an hour, and adds that he was having such a good dream too. Kirby gets an idea, and inhales Sparky to gain the Spark ability. He uses it to give Spinni and Doc a good shock to get them out of the way. Kirby catches up to Daroach, shocks him, and then takes the treasure back. Kirby then drops his Spark ability, freeing Sparky, who is now even more angry about being inhaled. After Kirby thanks him for the help and wishes him a good night, Sparky unhappily leaves, now wide-awake.
Sparky also makes a brief appearance in Kirby: Uproar at the Kirby Café?!. When King Dedede complains that the sign of the Dedede Café is not flashy enough, he suggests using Sparky as a power source. Sparky is surprised and tells him that he cannot produce enough energy, but Dedede doesn't care.
