Madoo is a wizard-like enemy appearing in Kirby's Dream Land 3. It is a dark figure wearing a long, purple or pink robe and a hood that obscures its face, save for two yellow, glowing eyes. The only other visible part of its body is a pair of brown, five-fingered hands.

Being among the rarest adversaries in the game, only four Madoos are encountered by Kirby during his journey, three of which can be found in the sixth stage of Cloudy Park, while the fourth is located in the fifth stage of Iceberg. Madoos float above Kirby in a strictly horizontal motion, constantly following him. When they are directly above the pink hero, they briefly come to a halt and cast a bolt of dark energy straight downwards from their hands, which hurts Kirby on contact, but takes the sorcerer a second to charge. Other than being harmful, these projectiles, when avoided, can break certain blocks, which appear wherever a Madoo is found. These obstacles are otherwise indestructible, requiring Kirby to trick the Madoo into crumbling them in order to reach the doors or items usually hidden below.

While any attack may defeat a Madoo, no Copy Ability can be obtained by inhaling and swallowing them. Once beaten, these opponents do not respawn until the room is re-entered.
