Gigabyte Grounds - Stage 6 is the sixth stage of Gigabyte Grounds. This stage is unlocked after clearing Stage 5 and collecting at least six Code Cubes in Gigabyte Grounds. This stage serves as the boss stage for the level, and pits Kirby against Mecha Knight. After clearing this stage, Kirby can move on to Rhythm Route.

Overview[edit]

The stage begins inside the giant factory complex, where Kirby can takes a number of pipes and conveyor belts past Bandana Waddle Dee who gives him an Assist Star and Copy Essence containing the Ninja, Sword, and Jet abilities before reaching the boss door.

Main article: Mecha Knight

Before the fight can begin, Kirby runs into Susie again, catching her singing the first line of The Noble Haltmann. Susie nonchalantly explains this to her pink enemy, then playfully tells him about a new security guard she "hired" to help the company: Model #M-7110, who turns out to be a mechanized and possessed version of Meta Knight that Kirby must now do battle with. Susie activates Mecha Knight and promptly makes her exit to let the two duke it out.

Mecha Knight attacks in two distinct phases, though unlike the previous boss encounters, there are no significant shifts in the stage topography between the phases. As might be expected, Mecha Knight keeps the same aerial mobility and swordplay as his normal counterpart. He also comes packing with several technological weapons, including a laser eyepiece, missile launchers, and a spark barrier. In the second phase, Mecha Knight amps up his attacks, and can fly off the stage to cause large chunks of debris to fall on Kirby which he will need to avoid. Once Mecha Knight's health bar is depleted, he will try to stand and continue the fight, but tumbles backward into a hole in the back of the stage and explodes, leaving Kirby to perform his dance and move on to the next level.
