— Guest Star Vividria A Colorful ❤ Pause Screen description in Kirby Star Allies

Vividria is a Mid-Boss that debuted in Kirby Star Allies. Her name is a pun on "vivid". She yields the Artist ability when swallowed. Vividria wears a dress and has coarse hair that forms a paintbrush. Her ponytail brush is always covered with paint for art creation. She does not have feet, but is capable of hovering. She looks similar to Elline, though much more compact.

Kirby Star Allies[edit]

As a Mid-Boss[edit]

Encountering Vividria as a Mid-Boss in Western Outer Wall.

The following is a list of attacks Vividria can perform as a mid-boss in Kirby Star Allies. Italics denote variations done by her harder variation only.

Vividria's attacks as a mid-boss in Kirby Star Allies
Attack Description Variants
Brush Slash Vividria charges up her paintbrush hair next to a target and then slashes twice or four times.
Painter Vividria pulls out a blank canvas and paints various enemies that materialize to attack Kirby and the star allies. The various enemies painted can be swallowed to gain certain Copy Abilities or reflected via certain attacks from Dark Meta Knight. Three bombs on parachutes can be painted which slowly fall down, exploding when they touch the ground. Swallowing one grants the Bomb ability.
Sawyer can be painted which charges forward on ground level. Swallowing one grants the Cutter ability.
Kracko can be painted who floats forward before stopping to send electricity down every-so-often. He can be swallowed for the Plasma ability.
Vividria's harder variation can sometimes paint two different things on her canvas one after another. The Kracko painting flies faster than before.
Paintbrush Rain Vividria hovers over a certain character for a brief period of time. Then, she flips upside-down and sprays a flurry of paint directly beneath her. She may do this attack either once or three times. Her harder variation's paint flurry extends a bit to both the left and right sides of her instead of directly underneath her.
Brush Swoop Vividria hovers in the top-left or top-right of the screen, charges up and swoops down while rapidly swinging her paintbrush hair. Her harder variation does this attack twice in a row.
Sculpture Vividria pulls out a stone and then quickly sculpts one of two things, either a fist or a Susie Goddess statue. Vividria then uses some form of telekinesis to smash the sculpture on Kirby or a star ally. The fist hovers a chosen target's horizontal position and then quickly attempts to smash them twice.
The Susie statue hovers over a chosen target and then tries to smash them by swinging down on them twice.
The harder variation's fist instead smashes right-to-left or left-to-right targeting a character's vertical position and only does so once. The Susie sculpture instantly smashes three times in a row.

Her regular variation attacks in a fixed order on loop as follows:

  1. Brush Slash x2
  2. Painter (three bombs)
  3. Brush Slash x2
  4. Paintbrush Rain
  5. Painter (Sawyer)

After losing enough health, Vividria will abruptly switch to this fixed order on loop:

  1. Brush Swoop
  2. Sculpture (fist smash top-to-bottom x2)
  3. Paintbrush Rain x3
  4. Brush Slash x4
  5. Painter (Kracko)
  6. Sculpture (Susie sculpture smash x2)
  7. Paintbrush Rain x3

Like other mid-bosses, Vividria has an extra version colored in black and red, who has more health and attacks more aggressively than the normal version.

Her harder variation attacks in a fixed order on loop as follows:

  1. Paintbrush Rain
  2. Brush Slash x4
  3. Painter (Sawyer and three bombs)
  4. Paintbrush Rain
  5. Brush Slash x2
  6. Painter (Sawyer and three bombs)

After losing enough health, Vividria will abruptly switch to one of two fixed orders on loop:

  1. Brush Swoop x2
  2. Sculpture (Susie sculpture smash x3)
  3. Paintbrush Rain
  4. Painter (Sawyer and Kracko)
  5. Sculpture (fist smash left-to-right/right-to-left)

As a Friend[edit]

Vividria can be recruited as a Friend once she is defeated in battle. She is able to utilize almost all of Artist Kirby's moveset once recruited (with the sole exception of the "Painbrush" move), and is subsequently able to participate in Artist's Friend Abilities. As an ally in The Ultimate Choice, she has the same health as Kirby, while she has slightly less health in main modes.

In addition, she can fly freely by holding the A button without resorting to an Infinity Jump, similar to NESP, Marx, Gooey, Adeleine & Ribbon, Magolor, Taranza, Susie, Francisca and Zan Partizanne.

Kirby Fighters 2[edit]

In Kirby Fighters 2, one of the Rare Hats for Artist Kirby is based on her. It is unlocked by getting a Fighters Rank of 71.

Kirby's Dream Buffet[edit]

In Kirby's Dream Buffet, Vividria appears on a Character Treat, using her artwork from Kirby Star Allies.

Trivia[edit]

  • Vividria refers to her 'sisters' in her pause screen caption. It is currently unknown who her sisters are, though her name and art-themed appearance may imply a relationship to Drawcia, Paintra, and/or Claycia.
    • The booklet included with Kirby Star Allies: The Original Soundtrack features early concept art of Vividria, alongside sketches of Drawcia, Paintra, and Claycia. The former two are labelled with the title "姉様" (ane-sama), meaning "elder sister", implying they are Vividria's aforementioned sisters. In contrast, Claycia is given the title "さん" (-san), a formal title similar to "Mr." or "Mrs.", which implies no family connection in her case. It is unknown if this information still applies to the final version.
  • Several of Vividria's attacks as a mid-boss are similar to Paintra's.
  • When she gives an ally a piggyback, Vividria's ponytail falls down.
  • One of Vividria's Mid-Boss attacks has her painting bombs with parachutes attached to them. These are a reference to the similar hazards that appear in ambush rooms in Kirby: Canvas Curse.
  • Despite having no visible feet, when Vividria moves about on the ground footsteps can be heard. The usual sound effects for hovering do not seem to be present either.
