— Tough: Gigant Edge Quest description in Team Kirby Clash Deluxe
|
Gigant Edge is a Mid-Boss debuting in Kirby's Return to Dream Land that grants the Sword Copy Ability, and is the first mid-boss in the series to do so. He wears different, tougher armor than Sword Knight or Blade Knight's, and also sports a shield (which he occasionally uses). Gigant Edge attacks by shooting waves across the ground in an attempt to hit Kirby, or charging toward Kirby with his sword.
Game appearances[edit]
Kirby's Return to Dream Land[edit]
Gigant Edge made his first appearance in Kirby's Return to Dream Land, debuting in Cookie Country - Stage 2, acting as a Mid-Boss. In the Extra Mode and The True Arena, Gigant Edge EX, a tougher variant of the normal enemy is found. His armor is bronze and he attacks more viciously.
Locations[edit]
In Kirby's Return to Dream Land Gigant Edge can be found in the following levels and stages:

Kirby's Dream Collection Special Edition[edit]
In Kirby's Dream Collection Special Edition, Gigant Edge appears in New Challenge Stages, where he is fought in Smash Combat Chamber and Smash Combat Chamber EX. Gigant Edge functions just like he did in Kirby's Return to Dream Land.
Kirby: Triple Deluxe[edit]
Gigant Edge also appears in Kirby: Triple Deluxe, returning as a Mid-Boss. He bears largely the same move-set, though he will additionally attempt to toss his sword in a boomerang fashion as it flies between the background and foreground. Gigant Edge DX, much like Gigant Edge EX before him is a much tougher variant, though his armor is golden and he could be considered to be much more formidable than EX.

He also possesses some new moves, including the ability to leap high into the air and perform a down thrust, though this also leaves him helpless for a short while, since his sword gets stuck in the ground.
