Kany is an enemy appearing in Kirby's Dream Land 3 and Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. It resembles a crab, though in Kirby's Dream Land 3, it bears a simplified look and with evenly-sized claws attacked to lines coming out the top of its head. In Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, it looks somewhat different, having features of both a crab and a shellfish. Kany appears only in sea/island levels where it thrives amongst the other enemies. If inhaled, it will give out no ability.
Kirby's Dream Land 3
Kany makes its debut appearance in this game, though it appears in only a handful of stages. It staggers one way and then the other and repeats, trying to attack Kirby with its claws.

Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards
In this game, Kany first appears on Aqua Star. It acts just about the same, except now it moves slower and may occasionally sit down for a moment. It also appears as a larger mini-boss in stage 2 of Aqua Star. If Kirby holds a Kany over his head, it will snip its claws, defeating enemies within range. Kany appears on the 27th Enemy Info Card.

In Kirby: Right Back at Ya!
Kany makes a small cameo appearance in the anime series Kirby: Right Back at Ya! in the episode Pink-Collar Blues. In this episode, it pops out of the sand at the beach as Kirby and his friends are trying to sneak past the Waddle Dees to get into the cave they are guarding. When Kirby sees Kany, he becomes distracted by it and tries to play with it, but it ends up snipping his hand causing him to shout out and blow their cover. Later on, Kirby can be seen dancing with Kany along with the Waddle Dees. Its design in the anime looks similar to Peezer, but with two eyes.
