Course 1 - Hole 3 is the third hole of Course 1 in Kirby's Dream Course. This hole features a small hill, on which can be found a Starman that grants the first instance of Hi-Jump in the game.
Summary[edit]
This course takes place on a fairly small platform which features a wide lowland area in the lower-left portion and a skinny but tall cliffside for the upper-right. The lowland area is bordered by walls of bumpers and has a small hill in the middle, nestled against the cliff. Kirby starts in the lower-right area just down from the small hill, and two Kick Panels can be found in the two lower-left corners, leading toward the left, then up toward the cliff at the top. Two Kabu can be found along the path made by these panels. The third enemy of concern is a Starman positioned at the top of the little hill, who grants the Hi-Jump ability if he is defeated. If Kirby wants to get this ability, he should ignore the Kick Panels and go for the Starman first. There are also three Whispy Woods up on the cliff, but they are inconsequential to the rest of the board.
In the Extra Game, Kirby's starting position is changed to place him in-between the Kick Panels. The two Kabu are placed between him and the panels on both sides, the Starman is replaced with a UFO, and Rocky is added to the left of the little hill. The middle Whispy Woods is replaced with a third Kabu, forcing Kirby to contend with the upper cliff.
