Ace Phanta[derived from Japanese][1] is an infrequent bearded hat-wearing ghost enemy from Kirby: Triple Deluxe, which is found primarily in Wild World - Stage 3. It has a habit of possessing inanimate objects in the haunted mansion, and can be fought using the Hypernova ability. As its name suggests, it is a larger version of Phanta.

Characteristics[edit]

In stage 3 of Wild World, Kirby encounters the Ace Phantas in the haunted mansion. Most of them are found inside suits of armor in the background hallways leading up to the final room, and are defeated by inhaling them using Hypernova after they attempt to strike. One of these Ace Phantas drops a Sun Stone when defeated.

In the final room, there is one more Phanta with a distinct appearance who wears a crown over its purple hat and has a black face, who makes the goal door vanish when Kirby tries to use it. This boss, King Phanta,[derived from Japanese][1] fights Kirby by possessing various bits of furniture, including a vase, a clock, a picture frame and a grand piano. Each time, Kirby must use his Hypernova inhale when the rover attempts to strike with these objects. After inhaling the piano, King Phanta is swallowed whole by Kirby, causing the goal door to appear once more.

The King Phanta is encountered one last time in Stage 8 EX of Royal Road, along with the other Mid-Bosses that are engaged with the Hypernova ability. This time it uses only the picture frame and piano to attack Kirby with.
