“ | A sword-wielding suit of armor stands in Team Kirby's way as they head through The Dunes. Watch out--this foe carries a flaming sword! Fight through this ordeal! | ” | — The narrator in Super Kirby Clash |
Ignite Edge is a major opponent in Super Kirby Clash. He is a great big soldier wearing decorated red armor and wielding a large shield and a sword which produces flames on impact. His sword bears a resemblance to the one wielded by Kirby or Blade Knight with the Sizzle Sword from Kirby Star Allies.
In Super Kirby Clash, Ignite Edge is faced in five different Quests, and his first battle serves as the first ordeal of the game. Later on, he can be found alongside Frost Kibble Blade and Spark Bonkers as part of Team Elementrio. He also appears in Kirby Fighters 2 together with Gigant Edge as part of Duo Edge.
Attacks[edit]
“ | A blazing soldier whose face is hidden but whose fiery rage is obvious to all! What's got him all hot and bothered?! | ” | — Toughest: Ignite Edge Quest description in Super Kirby Clash |
Ignite Edge is effectively a fancy fiery counterpart to Gigant Edge, and as such, both of them share essentially the same move-set. The only major difference between the two is that Ignite Edge's attacks can leave large fiery conflagrations in their wake, which would appear to automatically make him more dangerous than his humdrum counterpart.
The following are all of Ignite Edge's attacks in Super Kirby Clash. Most attack names come from official Japanese strategy guides concerning Gigant Edge's appearances in Kirby's Return to Dream Land, Kirby: Triple Deluxe and Kirby: Planet Robobot, while others are conjectural:
