Ice Island - Stage 4 is the fourth stage of Ice Island in Kirby: Squeak Squad. Here can be found the secret door key which unlocks Stage EX.

Overview[edit]

This stage consists of seven main areas. It begins on a snowy hillside packed with many foes, including Flamers. A Treasure Chest can be obtained by finding an underground passage blocked off by ice blocks and then swinging under the hill across underground pools.

The next area is a winding icy tunnel. This path winds upward to the left, past a crumbling floor, then to a room where the Magic ability-yielding Mid-Boss Boxy (or Tedhaun) is fought. The tunnel then leads out into an open area, past a few more foes. Near the end of the area, a UFO Bubble can be found sequestered away.

From there lays another exterior zone, where Kirby will be immediately surrounded by Scarfys. To the right, in a grotto, are three bubbles containing distinct abilities around the door forward.

Kirby then finds himself in a narrow cave, which splits off into two paths. On the upper path, a Sir Kibble guards a roped platform holding a treasure chest in another room. Past this guard and a Snooter is the door forward. The lower path leads to the treasure chest as well, but only if the Bomb Block next to the chest can be triggered from that position. The Magic ability can reach it.

Another tunnel must then be traversed. Icicles in the ceiling will attempt to fall on Kirby, because they always will. The path snakes back and forth past more icicles until reaching open air once again. The door forward can be found at the end of the path, past a spike pit.

From there, another open area awaits. Kirby will then have to navigate over large bottomless pits interspersed with icy platforms.

The last zone opens with an open hillside area, with some floating platforms above and numerous enemies about. The large treasure chest can be seen just after the hill drops to a cliff, surrounded by ice blocks. Once the treasure is obtained, the Squeaks appear, this time led by Storo. They appear on a bridge that can be broken using a switch up ahead, which will cause them to plummet into an abyss. The stage exit can be found just to the right from there, though a 1-Up can also be found below, in a small perilous alcove.
