Circus is a Copy Ability that gives Kirby an odd hat that is made to look like a traditional "big-top" circus with a clown-like face on it. It can only be obtained from the Clown Acrobot. The ability gives Kirby several different weapons based around circus acts. These include throwing juggling pins, balancing on a ball, jumping on a trampoline, doing somersaults, jumping through a flaming hoop (this attack can destroy ice blocks), and creating balloon animals. These balloon animals form many things such as flowers, Meta Knight, and even Nightmare's Power Orb. It was introduced in Kirby: Triple Deluxe, along with Beetle, Bell, Archer, and Hypernova, and, along with Archer, returned in Kirby: Planet Robobot. This copy ability can also be obtained by scanning in a Mr. Game and Watch amiibo in Kirby Planet Robobot.

Game appearances
Kirby: Triple Deluxe
“ | Circus is a new acrobatic copy ability that enables Kirby to attack enemies with circus routines. His basic attacks, Somersault and Backsault, will hit enemies who are right in front or behind Kirby. There are trickier moves such as Fire-Hoop Jump, where Kirby attacks by jumping through a ring of fire, and Ball Balance, where he attacks by walking on a big ball. To enable the Circus ability, inhale a Clown Acrobot before you get too intrigued by its routine! | ” | — Satoshi Ishida, Miiverse post on 05/28/2014 9:16 AM |
Circus makes its debut in this game, and is provided by the enemy Clown Acrobot. The Circus ability has a large array of goofy clown-related moves, including juggling, diving through hoops, balancing on balls, and blowing balloon animals. This is one of the few abilities which causes Kirby to smile while using several of the moves. Some of the attacks create fire, which can be used to light fuses and break icy blocks, though these moves are impractical compared to more standard fire-based abilities.
Kirby: Planet Robobot
The Circus ability returns in this title, along with its provider, Clown Acrobot. It is almost completely unchanged from its appearance in Kirby: Triple Deluxe; the only major difference is that Balloon Pop Art's Meta Knight balloon is now a Dark Meta Knight balloon.
Kirby's Dream Buffet
In Kirby's Dream Buffet, Circus Kirby appears on a Character Treat, using his artwork from Kirby: Triple Deluxe. Circus does not appear in Kirby's Dream Buffet as an ability.
In the Kirby novel series

In the Kirby novel series, the Circus ability appears in Kirby Meets the Squeak Squad!, where Kirby obtains it from Clown Acrobot. Unlike most Copy Abilities in the novel series, Kirby makes use of many different moves he can do with Circus. Kirby uses Baton, Ball Balance, Somersault, Backsault, and Balloon Pop Art. The flower and dog balloon forms each make an appearance. The balloons are known to make an impact so big that it can make stone crack.
In Kirby Meets the Squeak Squad!, Kirby and co. end up in an underground room of an ancient temple, where they meet Clown Acrobot. He appears friendly at first, but then starts attacking them with his juggling balls. Kirby inhales him in retaliation, and gets the Circus ability. Batons appear in Kirby's hands, and he starts juggling them. Kirby is amazed at his new copy ability, and a ball appears under him as he taps his feet. As Kirby balances on it, Waddle Dee is amazed at Kirby's acrobatics, but King Dedede is unimpressed and thinks it's a silly ability. After doing multiple somersaults, Kirby decides to follow a mine cart track on his own while balancing on a ball.
After fleeing from a mine cart and subsequently falling off the track, Kirby and co. land in a large room. Here, Wham Bam Gaia appears. Wham Bam Gaia starts attacking, and a flower-shaped balloon appears in Kirby's hands when he waves them. This puzzles him at first, but when Kirby attacks Wham Bam Gaia's hand, the balloon causes a damaging explosion. This makes Kirby realize how powerful the Circus ability truly can be. Kirby continues to throw more balloons at his hand. After an intense battle, Kirby deals the finishing blow on Wham Bam Gaia with a puppy-shaped balloon. Once Kirby and co. return to the surface, Kirby drops his Circus ability to free Clown Acrobot who is happy to be back at the surface.
Kirby runs from the mine cart as it rapidly approaches.
Wham Bam Gaia appears.
