Nintendo Badge Arcade is a free-to-start game released on the Nintendo 3DS in Japan in 2014 and North America, Europe and Australia in 2015. The main gameplay revolves around playing a rotating selection of traditional claw crane games to collect badges based on Nintendo franchise games. These badges can then be used to decorate the HOME Menu of the 3DS. Players are given two free plays every day, with a chance to win more free plays from the daily practice catcher. Additional plays can be purchased as microtransactions.
The Kirby series is represented by two badge categories—one featuring artwork from Kirby: Triple Deluxe and one based on the keychains from that same game—with a total of 323 badges to collect. Many of these are "Mega badges" which take up multiple spaces on the HOME Menu; counting each individual piece of the Mega badges raises this total to 578 unique Kirby badges. Kirby also appears as several "badges within badges" in the Nintendo Badge Arcade category.
Kirby Keychain Series[edit]
There are 257 collectable badges across 52 sets in the Kirby Keychain Series. This is, notably, one more than the 256 keychains available in Kirby: Triple Deluxe, as Lololo & Lalala are split into two badges. Counting the individual pieces of Mega badges, this category contains 498 badges in total. Due to the limited amount of space in the "badge box" (the selected sets of badges available for use on the HOME Menu), the Kirby Keychain Series is divided into three smaller categories, allowing players to make use of a wider variety of badge categories.
Category one[edit]
The first category contains the badges from Kirby's Dream Land, Kirby's Adventure, and Kirby's Dream Land 2.
