“ | Become a legendary monster with the power of a dragon! Spew fire like a flamethrower. Jump, attack, and glide through the sky. You can do all sorts of dragon-y stuff! | ” | — Figure description from Kirby and the Forgotten Land |
Dragon Fire is an Evolved Copy Ability based on Fire that appears in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. This ability gives Kirby a hat that resembles the claw and wings of a dragon with a large purple fire spewing out the back. With this ability, Kirby can scorch enemies with a long blast of fire akin to a flamethrower, and his Burn attack is greatly increased in reach and duration, allowing him to fly through the air with fiery dragon wings.
The blueprint for Dragon Fire can be found in the stage Windy, Freezing Seas, by locating a Treasure Chest accessible using Scissor-Lift Mouth near the end of the stage. Dragon Fire is required to play the Treasure Road stage Melt and Glide! Race to the Cannon.

火ふきこうげき Fire Blow Attack Fire Breath |
B | Kirby breathes out a long trail of purple fire to burn enemies. If Kirby continuously uses Fire Breath, lingering flames can appear. They can grow larger if the move is used even more. If this is used on an enemy, the flames will stick onto that enemy until they die out. This attack can be aimed with the L-Stick, allowing Kirby to walk slowly and rotate 360 degrees during it. Moreover, by holding L or R, Kirby can fix the aim of Fire Breath while walking. |
Burn | B in midair while moving/B + A quickly while moving | Kirby engulfs himself in flames and dashes forwards. Two wing-shaped extensions of flame appear on either side of Kirby as he is performing this move, and if B is held down Kirby will rise a little bit at the end of the move, allowing him to use it continuously without touching the ground; he can also turn smoothly in mid-dash rather than traveling directly forwards. This leaves a small trail of flame if Kirby is near the ground. Name given by Weapons-Shop Waddle Dee. |
Other appearances[edit]
- In Kirby's Dream Buffet, Dragon Fire Kirby appears on a Character Treat, using his artwork from Kirby and the Forgotten Land.
