Kany is an enemy appearing in Kirby's Dream Land 3 and Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. Its name comes from the Japanese word for crab, kani, and as such, it resembles a crab (though in Kirby's Dream Land 3, it bears a simplified look and with evenly-sized claws attacked to lines coming out the top of its head). In Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, it looks somewhat different, having features of both a crab and a shellfish. Kany appears only in sea/island levels where it thrives amongst the other enemies. If inhaled, it will give out no ability.
