Kirby's Duel Role

Primary character In this episode, Meta Knight challenges Kirby to a duel in Kabu Canyon after he is ordered by King Dedede to get rid of him. Meta Knight appears to comply, which makes Tiff and Tuff believe him to be an enemy, but instead Meta Knight takes the opportunity to teach Kirby the basics of swordplay, in particular instructing him on how to perform the Sword Beam attack. Using this experience, and despite an interruption from Tiff and Tuff, Kirby is later able to battle and defeat Bugzzy using the Sword ability. When King Dedede and Escargoon show up in the Armored Vehicle to berate Meta Knight for his "failure", Meta Knight boots them away, telling them he needs to keep them "protected" from Kirby. "Your spirit is willing, my friend, but your pink flesh is weak."

Primary character In this episode, Meta Knight receives advance warning that Kracko is coming to attack Kirby, and warns Tiff to get him somewhere safe. Later on, Tiff rendezvouses with Meta Knight in Kabu Canyon after losing track of Kirby during Kracko's assault. There, Meta Knight tells Tiff the story of how the Star Warriors had previously battled eNeMeE and lost, and were forced to go into hiding. He also tells Tiff about Kirby's origins, and explains to her that Kirby arrived in Dream Land before he was truly ready. He finishes by explaining to her that only she can call Kirby's Warp Star to assist him, and instructs her to do so in order to help Kirby defeat Kracko. "Kirby's Starship detected the King's monster, but Kirby was not scheduled to awaken for another 200 years! That is why his ship crash-landed. He is totally untrained. He cannot speak! He can barely think!"

Secondary character In this episode, Meta Knight is among those who receives a Channel DDD TV set, and proceeds to watch it despite Tiff's admonishment. Later on, when Dedede is trying to convince everyone that a monster is attacking town and that Kirby is responsible, Meta Knight joins Tiff and the others and directs them to the castle studio so they can put a stop to the propaganda. "Don't believe everything you see on the television set, my friend."

It's only when the Chief gets in danger himself that Meta Knight instructs Tiff to call the Warp Star. "Tuff believes in the chief. Perhaps we should, too."

Secondary character In this episode, Meta Knight is called into action when Tiff and Tuff inform him that Chef Kawasaki is about to cook Kirby for a meal for his master. Despite using his sword to cut down the kitchen door, they appear to be too late. Later on, when it is revealed that Kirby was not butchered for the meal, Meta Knight is there to watch and offer advice as he battles and defeats the monster Popon using the Cook ability. "It can repair itself quickly! You must hurry!"

Primary character In this episode, Meta Knight cautions Tiff not to jump to conclusions when King Dedede advertises his new dream pillows on Channel DDD, telling her to try it out to see if it is actually dangerous. When the pillows are later revealed to indeed be dangerous, Meta Knight is among the first to take action, gathering the pillows along with his apprentices and cutting them open to reveal the Noddies inside. When he shows this to the possessed mob, they all collectively come to their senses. "Everyone in Cappy Town who slept on these pillows is now out to destroy Kirby!"

Secondary character In this episode, Meta Knight joins Tiff, Tuff, and Kirby when they head to the Rainbow Coral Reef in a makeshift submarine in order to stop King Dedede from bulldozing it. When King Dedede destroys the submarine, Meta Knight is able to escape quickly. "The King is going to destroy the rainbow coral reef!"

Primary character In this episode, Meta Knight assists Tiff in shadowing Tuff and Fololo & Falala while they carry Kirby through the Babagahara jungle in search of the Pukey Flower. In the process, Meta Knight is able to save Tuff from various bad situations without revealing himself, giving Tuff the impression that he is the one solving the problems. When they arrive in the cave of the Pukey Flower, however, Tiff and Meta Knight are forced to reveal themselves and what they'd been doing, causing Tuff to become offended and discouraged. However, when Meta Knight starts to struggle against the Pukey Flower, Tuff swallows his pride and steps in to assist, giving Kirby an opening to pin the flower down using Needle and allowing Meta Knight to finish it off with a burning torch. "He may not be too smart, but his heart is in the right place."

Primary character In this episode, Meta Knight steps in when Knuckle Joe starts attacking Kirby, and explains that it is actually he who is to blame for the death of Knuckle Joe's father. He explains what happened to Knuckle Joe's father, and then urges him not to give into his desire for revenge, but this initially has little effect, as Knuckle Joe starts to turn into a monster, only reverting to normal after being parried by Needle Kirby. From there, Meta Knight bids Knuckle Joe farewell as he steps back into the Monster Delivery System. "Your father gave that to me. At the end, something stopped him from fully surrendering himself to eNeMeE. It was the love he had for you."

Secondary character In this episode, Meta Knight is initially only seen briefly, when he comments on the sudden turn in the climate of the kingdom. Later on, he is present to watch Kirby battle Ice Dragon, and protects Tiff and Tuff from the dragon's attacks. "Yes. Perhaps he is behind this...snow job."

Secondary character In this episode, Meta Knight shows up near the end in order to try and protect Kirby from Yamikage, but he is pinned by one of the ninja's throwing knives. Later on, when Kirby gains the Ninja ability, Meta Knight comments on it during the battle. After Kirby defeats Yamikage, Meta Knight cautions him that the ninja will likely be back for revenge one day. "That ninja may be back some day. You beat him this time, Kirby, but next time, surprise will not be on your side. We must train hard for your next encounter."

Primary character In this episode, Meta Knight attempts to protect Kirby from WolfWrath, but is stuck with one of the beast's fangs and is paralyzed as a result. Before he fully blacks out, he urges his apprentices to do whatever they can to protect Kirby. While the group is holed in the castle, Sword and Blade explain to Tiff and Tuff how they got involved with Meta Knight, saying that he had defended them from WolfWrath despite the fact that they'd tried to rob him as highway bandits, and his noble bravery turned them to his cause. After WolfWrath is defeated by Kirby using the Galaxia, Meta Knight is able to recover from his paralysis. "I will tell you what we must do. We must search for a new warrior. One who will defeat eNeMeE, and bring justice to our galaxy."

When Kirby gains the upper hand after eating Chef Kawasaki's Toxic Atomic Curry and douses Monsieur Goan in flames, Meta Knight clarifies that this is not Fire Kirby, but merely the results of his heartburn. "No, that's the heartburn from Kawasaki's cooking!"

Secondary character In this episode, Meta Knight and his apprentices step in to help Kirby and his friends escape King Dedede's trap by knocking out the surveillance cameras and then dealing with the giant stone Dedede statues. Later on, he tries to warn Tiff that the karaoke stage is a trap to send Kirby to N.M.E. to be dispatched, but this amounts to little, as Kirby is eventually sent through, though with the Mike ability, he ends up foiling N.M.E.'s plans inadvertently. Meta Knight briefly comments on how dangerous Mike Kirby is before the castle collapses. "This attack is far too dangerous! I'm afraid Microphone Kirby's singing...may be his worst attack of all!"

The Kirby Derby - Part I

Primary character In this episode, Meta Knight lures Kirby into the castle using pancakes after hearing of the Grand Prix race that King Dedede is planning on holding. Once he has Tiff and Kirby's attention, he explains that he intends to have Kirby enter the race, even knowing that it's a trap, in order to give Kirby a chance to learn how to pilot his Starship. Later on, Meta Knight himself enters the race in his own car, following closely behind Kirby and King Dedede. "That ship was designed to care for new Star Warriors, and programmed to travel through space searching for monsters!"
The Kirby Derby - Part II

Primary character In this episode, Meta Knight is taking part in King Dedede's Grand Prix race, and is at first appearing to be taking Dedede's side in order to corner Kirby on the race track. When Tiff and Tuff see this, they foolishly assume that Meta Knight has turned on them, but are able to do little about it. In reality, Meta Knight is once again putting Kirby in a dangerous situation in order to give him an opportunity to tap into his instincts. To further this aim, he has his apprentices Sword and Blade sabotage Kirby's brakes while he takes a pit stop. Later on, when Kirby gets into a bad situation and is unable to brake, his instincts do indeed kick in, and he learns to fly his Starship, much to Meta Knight's delight. Later on, after Kirby gets back in the race, King Dedede decides to quit playing around and bring out a Gatling gun to deal with Kirby, but Meta Knight swerves in the way so his car takes the hit instead, giving Kirby a chance to retaliate using the Wheel ability. Ultimately, due to this sacrifice, Meta Knight ends up not finishing the race. At the closing ceremony, he shows up and gives Kirby a license for his Starship. "Where Kirby is concerned...nothing is for sure."

Tertiary character In this episode, Tiff tries desperately to plead to Meta Knight to step in and defend Kirby from King Dedede after she finds herself at her wit's end trying to defend him in the show trial. Instead, Meta Knight offers her a hint to try a new approach, which she follows successfully. "Sometimes the pen is mightier than the sword."

Tertiary character In this episode, Meta Knight shows up at the end in order to reveal the true Rowlin and denounce the faker, who turns into the Broom King. Meta Knight later comments on Cleaning Kirby and his abilities while he is fighting the monster. "It is not over, now Broom King will try to give Kirby the brush off!"

Primary character In this episode, Meta Knight and Tiff notice the strange snail they've never seen before while conversing out in the countryside trying to figure out what monster King Dedede had called in the night before. After putting two and two together, they are able to track down Escargoon and explain the situation to him. Meta Knight reveals to Escargoon that in order to get Erasem out of his body, he has to undergo intense pain, which Escargoon reluctantly agrees to. Down in the castle dungeon, Meta Knight mans the torture device in order to get Erasem out, which succeeds after a few attempts. He and the others then chase Erasem into the town plaza, where Kirby inhales it, and then everyone in cluding Meta Knight forgets about him. "We must send it away, before it strikes again!"

Secondary character In this episode, Meta Knight appears alongside his apprentices to try and fight off the mini-monster horde. Later on, he is present to watch as Knuckle Joe and Masher gang up on Kirby. He tries to intervene on Kirby's behalf, but is promptly knocked down by Masher. Later, when Knuckle Joe reveals his true intentions and helps Kirby defeat Masher, Meta Knight congratulates him for his work. "Hunting down monsters throughout the universe! Joe, your father would be proud."

Primary character In this episode, Meta Knight enters the haunted mansion at the request of Tuff in order to help out Tiff and Kirby. Once he locates them inside the house, the group ventures together for the remainder of the episode. Near the end, when Kirby is battling Gabon, Meta Knight tosses him a burning torch so he can gain the Fire ability and use it to defeat the monster. Meta Knight escapes the resulting fire in the mansion along with the others. "I sense a dangerous force at work here, it must be eNeMeE."

Secondary character In this episode, Meta Knight shows up at Kabu Canyon to find Kirby when he is considering leaving the kingdom. Meta Knight is the first to break the pattern of people being dismissive towards Kirby, whether intentionally or not, and tells him that he should really be home at this late hour. Later on, Meta Knight attends the anniversary celebration, and comments on how much Kirby has grown, particularly after Kirby uses the Bomb ability to defeat the monster Dangerous Bomb. "Kirby, you have indeed grown in many ways this year. I cannot wait to see what changes next year brings."

Secondary character In this episode, Meta Knight gets involved when he hears back from his apprentices about how poor Sir Gallant's fighting ability is. He joins Tiff and the others in their investigation of Sir Gallant's spaceship, and find out that he is merely playing at being a knight, based on a series of comic books he was keeping. Later on, Meta Knight is present for the battle with Windwhipper, and provides commentary both on Mirror Kirby and on Sir Gallant's condition after having his dreams shattered by the monster. "This man lived for his dreams. Now that his dreams have been destroyed, he has no reason...to go on."

This clue ends up amounting to little, since Tiff ends up falling asleep before she gets to the relevant passage in said manual while trying to study it at night. "If my intuition is correct, this book contains the secret behind the teachers' strange behavior."
Crusade for the Blade

Primary character In this episode, Meta Knight is the target of the alien warrior Sirica, who believes he is responsible for the death of her mother Garlude. She tries to hunt him down in the castle, and succeeds in wounding him, but loses track of him briefly when Tiff and the others spirit him away to Kabu Canyon to tend to his wounds. While there, Tiff asks Meta Knight about Sirica and the situation, and Meta Knight responds by stating that his sword Galaxia will attest to his innocence. Kabu explains to Tiff and the others the backstory of Galaxia, and how it got into Meta Knight's hands. When Sirica manages to track them down, Meta Knight stands his ground despite his wounds, but ultimately is not able to hold onto his sword. When Sirica attempts to steal it for herself, the sword tells her the true story, and she comes to terms with Meta Knight after Kirby uses the sword to defeat the monster Kirisakin. "Those who are not chosen, will only bring evil upon themselves."

Tertiary character In this episode, Meta Knight gets involved shortly after King Dedede ends up bloated by his own potato chip trap, and he warns Tiff and Tuff about what might befall Kirby if they are not careful, but by then, it is already too late. Later on, during Max Flexer's fitness routine, Meta Knight is present, and notably does not dance with the others despite being on the dance floor. "The King fell into his own trap." *chuckles* "But Kirby is almost certain to eat those snacks, unless we stop him. Where is he?"

Secondary character In this episode, Meta Knight disguises himself as a Pengy in order to avoid being captured during the Pengy takeover, and runs into Kirby, Tiff and Tuff when they are in their own disguises at the castle. From there, they travel together until they confront Master Pengy in the throne room. Meta Knight mainly holds back and offers commentary, in particular pointing out when Ice Kirby's attacks are ineffective. "This is going to get frosty!"

In particular, he tells everyone about King Dedede's scheme, that the book about Mumbies was a forgery on his part to fool Professor Curio, and tells them about the true nature of Mumbies. Meta Knight also tries to give Kirby advice on how to fight it, to varying degrees of success. "The Mumbies are vicious monsters sent throughout the universe to hunt down and exterminate Star Warriors. When the containers that hold them are discovered, they are automatically unsealed, and they begin looking for Star Warriors to destroy!"

Secondary character In this episode, Meta Knight notices the weakening of the ozone layer above Dream Land, and hatches a plan to deal with it. He obtains a hot air balloon and uses it to take himself, Tiff, Tuff, and Kirby up into the sky, where they discover the monster Ozomashii maintaining an ozone hole. While up there, Meta Knight drops a canister to the ground which informs the Cappies about the true nature of the air conditioner units they bought from Dedede. Meta Knight also explains that this was a plot from N.M.E. to weaken Kirby by exposing him to dangerous levels of UV radiation. "Perhaps the planet...is getting weaker."

Later on, after Kirby defeats the Heavy Anaconda, Meta Knight comments that despite what had happened, King Dedede is not the real threat, and that Kirby should prepare for the battle that lays ahead. "Kirby responded to you, Tiff. He is trying to resist the Demon Frog!"

Primary character In this episode, Meta Knight is at the castle when the Destroya shows up to attack. He urges Tiff to call the Warp Star to help Kirby fight it, despite her reservations. Later on, when Kirby's Warp Star is damaged, Meta Knight heads to Kabu Canyon so that he can help Kirby and Tiff as needed, while also offering more commentary on the situation. "They are not monsters, Tuff. Something tells me they are much worse!"

Primary character In this episode, Meta Knight reveals to everyone his hidden plans to attack eNeMeE using the Halberd, and tries to recruit the Cappies to assist him in this endeavor, but all of them flee in terror at the thought, leaving only Kirby and his closest friends to volunteer. Later on, however, at the behest of Kit Cosmos, several Cappies do return to the ship, and Meta Knight prepares his crew for takeoff. They all set off together in the ship after dealing with the Destroyas attacking the kingdom. "I should have known. Cappies are peaceful. Fighting is not in their nature."

Primary character In this episode, Meta Knight leads the crew along their way to eNeMeE's Fortress, and also directs them to deal with the threat of both King Dedede and the Heavy Lobster. When they later assault the fortress directly, Meta Knight remains at the helm, giving orders to fire or prioritize the shields as needed. Eventually, he and his crew manage to get inside the fortress, where they encounter eNeMeE directly. "We will not retreat, we must enter the fortress...and fight to the finish!"
Fright to the Finish

Primary character In this episode, Meta Knight leads his crew to escape the trap set for them by eNeMeE, and dock the ship in a safe crevasse inside the fortress. There, they try to hatch a plan to destroy the fortress, and end up settling on planting bombs around the command center. Later on, while Tiff and Kirby are dealing with eNeMeE, Meta Knight hatches the plan to escape from the fortress using the Night Mare Enterprises Teleporter after the Halberd is destroyed. Once eNeMeE is dealt with and everyone reunites, they all jump into the teleporter just before the bombs are set to detonate. After everyone has safely returned, Meta Knight's last act is to give King Dedede back the cell phone he'd been using to contact the N.M.E. Sales Guy, as a way to mock him over the fact that he cannot call monsters anymore. "Wrong, it will not be easy, but we can escape! We can use the monster delivery system here...to deliver us home."
