In the Kirby novel series, Storo appears as a supporting antagonist in Kirby Meets the Squeak Squad!. He is part of the Squeaks as one of Daroach's three high-ranking henchmen. Like the other three, Storo is extremely loyal to Daroach. He is the strongest and heaviest of the three, and also the least talkative. He usually carries a hammer, which is his main method of attack.
In Kirby Meets the Squeak Squad!, Storo helps Daroach steal the egg that Kirby and Waddle Dee are tasked with protecting. He first appears when Kirby first finds the egg at an ancient temple. He shows up with Spinni and Doc to ambush the two of them. Storo attacks by swinging his hammer at Kirby, but Kirby dodges and spit fire at him with his Fire ability. After Kirby fends off all three of them, the Squeaks retreat.
Later on, Daroach plans to sneak in to Castle Dedede at night to snatch the egg, while everyone is asleep. When the Squeaks enter from the balcony, Storo stays on the balcony due to his lack of stealth. Daroach and Spinni escape with the egg, accidentally waking Kirby and Waddle Dee in the process. When Kirby goes after them, Storo stands in his way. He attacks with his hammer again, but then King Dedede enters the room. Dedede's hammer collides with Storo's, starting a test of strength, which allows Kirby to pass by and chase after the others. When he returns, it is revealed that King Dedede won, and Storo is now tied up. When Kirby, Waddle Dee, and King Dedede start interrogating Storo, Meta Knight shows up and cuts the ropes he is tied up in, freeing him. They swiftly escape, while Kirby and co. are shocked at why Meta Knight would ever help the Squeaks.
When Kirby and co. return to the temple, the Squeaks follow after them. They plan to explain to Waddle Dee that there is a misunderstanding about Daroach, because Kirby and Dedede did not listen before. Storo grabs Waddle Dee and the egg, and the Squeaks run off. They accidentally set off a trap, and fall through a trap door. They all land in an underground lake, and everyone gets up at the water's surface except Storo and Waddle Dee. Storo is unconscious from the impact of the water, and sinks down with Waddle Dee still in his grip. Daroach swims down and pinches Storo to wake him up, and he quickly rises up to the surface with Waddle Dee. With everyone safely at the lake's surface, Meta Knight then explains the whole misunderstanding to Waddle Dee.
In the end, it is revealed that Daroach only wanted the cushion that the egg was strapped to. He had trouble falling asleep before, and wanted to take the cushion so he could use use it as a pillow. The mother bird forgives him for all the trouble, and allows him to keep it. With the Squeaks on good terms with everyone, they bid farewell and fly away in their airship.

The fellow behind you goes by the name Storo. He's always been a big guy, but don't worry. He's really a pussycat. So to speak.
— Daroach in Kirby Mass Attack

Storo is a member of the Squeaks alongside Daroach, Spinni and Doc, acting as the muscle of them. He first appeared in Kirby: Squeak Squad. Storo is a blue, burly bipedal mouse. He wears a red bandana, a black eyepatch and a red sleeveless shirt with the belly out. He has a round, black snout and a single visible tooth in his mouth. Despite having no visible eyes, Storo still cries when being beaten in the sub-game Speedy Teatime.

Personality[edit]

My friend Storo behind you might seem like a brute. But would a brute brush his teeth until they're all minty fresh? So, best not judge a book by its cover.
— Daroach in Kirby Mass Attack

In the sub-game Speedy Teatime from Kirby: Squeak Squad, Storo was shown to be gluttonous, evidenced by the fact he smiles when eating more than Kirby (and consequently winning), and cries when losing. In Kirby Mass Attack, Daroach says that Storo may look like a brute but is instead "a pussycat".

Trivia[edit]

 • In the main menu for Kirby Star Allies, one of the character interactions has Storo flattening Kirby as they pass. This is a reference to the intro for Kirby: Squeak Squad, where the same thing happens.
 • Despite having an eyepatch, Storo's other eye is never visible either, except when he is knocked out from a bomb explosion in Speedy Teatime.
