"Techno Factory"[Japanese title] is the name of a theme which first appeared in Kirby's Return to Dream Land.

Composition

The song is composed in a 4/4 time signature, and uses instruments mainly composed of techno synths, upbeat electronic percussion, and even a few classic instruments previously used in older Kirby games, like the voice synth instrument from Kirby Super Star. This set of instruments is used to make the song true to its name, and represent the bustle of a technological alien factory. The song begins with a short intro mainly composed of a drum solo, then switches to a repeating synth melody that plays in D minor and F minor with a brisk-tempo electronic beat. With each repeat of said melody, the instruments in the main melody slightly change.

The song then transitions to a second part played in A major, using a transition with a slight modification to the first melody that plays in E minor. This part uses electronic organ and synth sounds for the melody. The song's pitch slowly transitions to the original key of D minor as the second part of the melody concludes. The classic Kirby Super Star voice synth is intertwined with the organ and synth as they play to conclude the second half. This final section of the song bears a resemblance to theme for Stage 4 of Grass Land in Kirby's Dream Land 3. Afterwards, the song loops back to the first section.
