- This article is about the Copy Ability. For Bubbles in other contexts, see Bubble (disambiguation).
Bubble is a Copy Ability that debuted in [[Kirby: Squeak Squad|Template:KSqS KMoA]]. When Kirby gains this ability, he obtains a a blue hat similar to a shower cap, topped with many bubbles spewing out of it. He also gains a bubble wand, which is used for launching bubbles. Using this ability, Kirby is able to shoot a stream of bubbles at his opponents, which transforms them into bubbles containing Copy Essences upon defeat. The stream can also be used to break away blocks and other obstacles, even being able to shoot through walls.
Game appearances
Template:KSqS KMoA
Bubble debuts in Template:KSqS KMoA. It allows Kirby to transform regular enemies into bubbles so that he can pick up their Copy Abilities and use them later. For example, if Kirby uses the bubble ability on Sir Kibble, the bubble for the Cutter ability appears after Sir Kibble is defeated. If Kirby uses the bubble ability on an enemy that does not give a Copy Ability, such as Waddle Dee, a small star appears instead.
If the ability is used on a Gold Waddle Dee, the bubble will contain both a star and a chest, despite them not normally combining.

Trivia
- The developers of Template:KSqS KMoA had difficulty designing a hat for the Bubble ability, due to foam and bubbles not having fixed shapes. They ultimately decided to base it on a children's shower cap, but they were worried if it was being sold at the time the game was being developed, so they went window shopping to see if they still existed.[1]
- Interestingly, the sprite for the Bubble ability's hat in Template:KSqS KMoA seems to have slight design differences from that of the one featured in artwork, as the sprite features a crown on Kirby's head encasing the shower cap making it look more similar to various elemental abilities such as Fire or Ice, despite the hat not having any sort of crown-like design elsewhere, with the shower cap part of the hat also looking very different design-wise.

- ↑ "With the Bubble ability, it was difficult to know what form Kirby should take when using it. Foam and bubbles obviously have no fixed shape and that caused all sorts of trouble for us. So we made Kirby wear a kind of ring-shaped shower cap [used by children in Japan when they wash their hair to keep the soap out of their eyes, Ed.]. Then someone would argue: "But Kirby doesn't have any hair!" And someone else would respond: "Yes, but think about the soap! If it gets in his eyes, it's going to hurt!" (laughter) This kind of shower cap is something that's completely normal to people of our generation, but we were concerned it wasn't really used by people nowadays. We ended up checking shop windows to see if they still existed..." –Masanobu Yamada (Interview with the Kirby Mouse Attack Development Team)
