- This article is about the character in Kirby: Right Back at Ya!. For the enemy from the video games, see Blade Knight.
Blade Knight (Blade for short) is a recurring supporting character in the anime series Kirby: Right Back at Ya!. He is one of Meta Knight's apprentices, along with his companion Sword Knight.
In the 4Kids dub, Blade Knight is basically unintelligible when he speaks, perhaps due to the fact that he always wears a mask that completely covers his face. Sometimes, certain words can be heard from him, typically character names. In the original Japanese version, Blade Knight is capable of speaking clearly.
Personality
Blade Knight is characterized as a studious and loyal, yet somewhat inexperienced swordsman. Much like Sword Knight, Blade Knight takes his role as apprentice to Meta Knight as almost the only thing he is obliged to, and as such, does not engage with the other characters socially. Blade Knight often coordinates with Sword Knight while dealing with a monster or a task and the two seldom clash with each-other - as they have known each-other longer than they have any of the other cast members - but they also come across as largely interchangeable in personality, similar to Fololo & Falala.
In the episode Hour of the WolfWrath, Sword Knight and Blade Knight are revealed to have once been road-side bandits and attempted to rob Meta Knight once before he saved them from WolfWrath. It was this act that led them to swear loyalty to him. Because of this history and despite their loyalty, both Sword and Blade are somewhat temperamental and undisciplined, which sometimes leads them into trouble. However, they have permanently left their criminal pasts behinds, and do not disturb the people of Cappy Town.

Trivia
- In the Kirby Mass Attack Sub-Game Kirby Quest, one of the battles features Meta Knight with a Sword Knight and Blade Knight at his side. These two supporting knights are very likely meant to represent Sword and Blade from the anime.
- The 4kids dub of the anime has Blade Knight with a deep voice, whereas his original voice is much higher pitched, to the point of being voiced by a female.
