Smash Ride is a sub-game playable in Kirby: Squeak Squad. It features Kirby facing off against Spinni and other red Squeaks while riding on a Warp Star. This Warp Star can be sent in any direction using the stylus. Here, Kirby must try to push the squeaks off the edge, rather than physically attack them. Every time he knocks one of the edge, he gets one point. They'll keep coming back however, meaning Kirby must be on his guard at all times. He can charge up his hits by keeping the stylus on him. This is known as a "smash attack. The amount of Squeaks with Spinni depend on what level Kirby has chosen, with the most appearing in level 3, and the least appearing in level 1.

Stage
Gameplay
This stage appears to be made out of stone. It appears to be circular and set in space. It has light stones surrounding smaller dark stones, in a similar way of a dart board. In the center is a circle filled with many light stones and some stone Star Blocks. In the sub-game, Spinni is found in the middle, with various other squeaks being found on the other parts of the edge. Kirby himself is put at the bottom.
Kirby faces off against Spinni, several red Squeakers and/or other players in multiplayer mode while riding on a Smash Star. In Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, Doc and Storo are added as well. The main goal of the game is to gain points by pushing the player's opponents off the stage by ramming the Smash Star into them, which gives the player 1 point if done successfully.

Trivia
The Smash Star can move forward in one direction by sliding the stylus in the desired direction the player wishes to go. By holding the stylus on the Smash Star for a while before moving, the player can stop in place and charge up a Smash Attack, which can be used to push opponents off the stage while boosting forward in one direction. If Spinni, the Squeakers, or any players fall off the stage (whether by being pushed off or by dashing off the stage), they will respawn after a few seconds at their original starting positions. There is a timer of 60 seconds for this Sub-Game, and if it runs out, the player with the most amount of points will be declared the winner on the Rankings screen.
*This is the only sub-game in Squeak Squad which does not involve some sort of bombs. Treasure Shot sometimes substitutes the sweets for bombs, Speedy Teatime sometimes replaces the strawberries in the sweets with bombs, and Boss Endurance allows Kirby to have the Bomb copy ability.

There are three difficulty levels for this Sub-Game. On higher levels, the number of Squeakers will increase, and the opponents may resort to more erratic movements to make it more difficult for the player to stay on the stage without falling. In Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, Doc will appear starting on level 2 and Storo will appear as an opponent on level 3.

Ram your rivals and send 'em flying!
— in-game description of the game

Smash Ride is a Sub-Game playable in Kirby: Squeak Squad and Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe. In the former, it can be accessed from the main menu, while in the latter, it is accessible in Merry Magoland and the Lor Starcutter (though to play it in the Lor, 90 Energy Spheres need to be collected first).

Gameplay[edit]

Kirby faces off against Spinni, several red Squeakers and/or other players in multiplayer mode while riding on a Smash Star. In Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, Doc and Storo are added as well. The main goal of the game is to gain points by pushing the player's opponents off the stage by ramming the Smash Star into them, which gives the player 1 point if done successfully.
