In [[Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards]], If [[Kirby]] mixes the [[Cutter]] and [[Burning]] abilities, he will be able to weild a huge, flaming sword that, strangely, he pulls out of his mouth. While holding it, Kirby cannot fly. Pressing the attack button will make Kirby swing it in a huge arc in front of him, usually killing most enemies in one hit. It also has a good backswing. While walking, Kirby will drag the sword behind him, and enemies who touch it will be deafeated. If the player presss up, Kirby will hold the sword vertically over his head. This is a good way to kill airial enemies. If the player presses the attack button while holding the sword like this, then Kirby will hurl the blade horizontally, slicing anything in its path. The sword can then be retrieved from Kirby's mouth again.

Burn-Cutter is a Power Combo of Burn and Cutter in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. With this ability, Kirby can wield a huge flaming sword that, strangely, he pulls out of his mouth. While holding it, Kirby cannot hover, as it may weigh him down.

While holding the sword, Kirby can perform a large swing with it to hit enemies in a wide arc over him. It will also protect Kirby from behind automatically while being held. If Kirby needs to discard the sword, he can hold it over his head, then toss it in a straight path ahead of him. There is no limit to how many swords Kirby can acquire using this ability.

Like the other abilities in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, this ability does not change Kirby's physical appearance in any way.
