Jelly is a Copy Ability that turns Kirby into an amorphous blob of gelatin, allowing him to pass through objects such as breakable walls. While this ability is active, Kirby will also be able to avoid most enemy attacks, and will move slightly faster than he does normally. This ability first appeared in Kirby's Dream Buffet, and is obtainable from the Jiggly Jelly Copy Food item found in Food Boxes. It is available both in the Race mode and the Battle Royale mode. Like with many other Copy Abilities in Kirby's Dream Buffet, Jelly only lasts for a short period of time before Kirby reverts to normal. If the player presses R repeatedly, Jelly Kirby will shed blobs of jelly behind him, which will cause the ability to burn out faster, but the blobs can slow down opponents who run into them.
