Hamburgers is one of the eight Race stages in Kirby's Dream Buffet. It is available from the start, and features a blocky and segmented path made of American-style hamburgers, sandwiches, and related objects, making for a track with lots of verticality.

Overview[edit]

This stage features complex terrain built largely out of floating hamburgers and sandwiches, with bridges made of bacon, hot dogs, and asparagus, and smaller platforms built of various condiments like onion, tomato, cucumber, avocado, carrot, pickle, and pepper slices. There are also wider areas where hardwood tables make up the main floor and condiment holders such as salt and pepper shakers and ketchup and mustard bottles can be seen. At regular intervals, there are sunny side up eggs that act as springs, as well as a large frying pan with a long handle. Additional decorations include cutlery and small toothpick flags, as well as French fry fences. Splotches of ketchup and mustard can bog down Kirbys that roll over them.

Variants of this stage differ in the particulars, but they all follow the same basic structure and have the following sections, though their orders can vary somewhat:

  • A starting area consisting of various floating platforms leading down to a wall that needs to be bounced up using springs.
  • A section of slowly-spinning platforms that leads to a Crumbling Cookie Wall down a long ramp.
  • A large frying pan that slowly turns back and forth.
  • A wider area with an elevated walkway ending with a cannon that can skip Kirbys past another Crumbling Cookie Wall and spring.
  • A split path of platforms at the end which leads either directly to the end or to one last spring and ramp downward.

Variant details[edit]

The following are noteworthy details for each variant of this stage that cause them to differ from one-another. Note that each variant is named after the color of the background:

There are no significant visual differences between the variants of this stage aside from the background color. Aside from that, these stages can be told apart quickly using the previews at the start with enough attention to detail.
  • The stage begins with three burger platforms and a set of asparagus bridges leading straight forward to the springs.
  • The path after the first springs connects on the right to the frying pan, which leads to a table where the first Crumbling Cookie Wall is located.
  • After the cookie wall is a long ramp that leads down to a path of burgers curving to the left.
  • After the burgers is the wide area with the upper walkway leading to the cannon. The walkway to the cannon is spanned by two arching French fry bridges connecting tall sandwich platforms.
  • The last area features a straight path made of giant burger platforms with smaller side paths containing extra strawberries or mission fruit. A large frying pan platform sits just before the end.

  • The stage begins with a set of three bacon bridges and two burger platforms leading generally upward to the springs.
  • The path after the first springs bends toward the left and then back before leading down a long ramp to the Crumbling Cookie Wall.
  • The frying pan follows the first cookie wall.
  • After the frying pan is the wide area with the upper walkway leading to the cannon. The walkway to the cannon has a split in the path at first, then joins together.
  • The last area features a path split in two forming a wide circle followed by a short ramp downward to the end.

  • The path after the first springs bends toward the right and then the left in a sinusoidal manner before leading down a long ramp to the Crumbling Cookie Wall.
  • The frying pan follows the first cookie wall.
  • After the frying pan is the wide area with the upper walkway leading to the cannon. The walkway to the cannon is fairly high up and straight.
  • The last area features a path split in two followed by a spring that bounces up to one more long ramp downward to the end.

  • The stage begins with a set of bacon bridges, then two burger platforms, then a set of asparagus bridges leading downward to the springs.
  • The path after the first springs starts to the left but angles rightward, ending with a large frying pan platform which then leads down the long ramp to the Crumbling Cookie Wall.
  • After the first wall is a spring which leads up to the wide area with the upper walkway leading to the cannon. The walkway is angled and bent slightly, and has two different points of access from below.
  • The last area features a bent path made of giant burger and avocado platforms with smaller side paths containing extra strawberries or mission fruit. From here, one more spring leads up to the end platform.

Portuguese X-tudo Name of a Brazilian hamburger type that roughly means "Cheese-everything". The letter X in Portuguese is pronounced similar to the English word "cheese", so cheeseburgers in Brazil are often named X-something, such as "X-salada" (a cheeseburger with salad), "X-bacon" (a cheeseburger with bacon) and so on. A "X-tudo" is typically the cheeseburger that is a combination of all other cheeseburger types offered by a restaurant, and thus has "everything".
