The Checklist, called the Award List in the British English version of Kirby Mass Attack, is a board of objectives that can be completed in various Kirby titles, comparable to achievements in other game series. These objectives are called Tasks and Awards in the American and British English version of Kirby Mass Attack, respectively. The first Kirby game to feature a checklist was Kirby Air Ride, and completing these lists is necessary for 100% completion of the game. They serve as a likely inspiration to the Challenges in the Super Smash Bros. series.
The Checklist is a table of 120 objectives, one for each of the three modes in Kirby Air Ride.

Air Ride, Top Ride, and City Trial each possess their own individual checklists, all arranged in a 12 x 10 fashion. The individual objectives are placed in random locations, but the bottom right "block" is always labeled "Complete 100 Checklist Blocks", and unlocks a bonus video for that mode. 5 will provide Free Checks, which can be used on any objective, except the 100 checklist blocks objective. Others will provide unlockables, such as BGM and different Kirby colors.

The boxes start off a dark gray hue, and change color as their attached objectives are completed. As they change color, boxes adjacent to them turn light gray, and the player can see the actual objective, and try to complete it. When the objectives are completed, the box turns either green or red. Red boxes unlock a certain feature, vehicle, music, etc., besides revealing the objectives in adjacent boxes. Green boxes do not unlock anything. The five red boxes that provide free checks will build up a tower of five purple squares at the left of the checklist. These can be used to turn most squares purple, and count it as checked.
There are three distinct Checklists in Kirby Air Ride - one for each game mode. Each list consists of 120 boxes, each with their own objective to satisfy. At first, the objectives will be unknown to the player, but playing the game should be enough to unlock the first few by happenstance. From there, adjacent boxes to those cleared in the list will have their objectives shown. When clearing certain objectives (red boxes after completion), rewards are given, such as Kirby palette swaps, new Air Ride Machines, Sound Test music tracks, and other rewards.

After all 120 boxes are checked in, the entire matrix turns golden. However, doing it the easy way, and using up the free checks is still identifiable, as there will be fewer than five purple boxes still present at the left, and boxes filled in with the free checks remain purple.
One reward in particular is a purple Checklist filler, which the player can use to automatically complete an objective they find to be too difficult, or just don't want to bother with. Each list has 5 fillers to obtain, which means the player only has to complete at least 115 objectives of a Checklist.

Objectives in Air Ride usually consist of racing over a certain distance, on a certain course, or to complete a certain number of laps in a set time. In addition to BGM and Kirby colors, certain objectives will unlock Air Ride machines. Racing 100 laps is completely unique, in that it unlocks the final course.

Filling in 100 boxes is necessary to 'complete' the game mode, which unlocks its Ending movie. Filling in all 120 for each one is necessary for 100% completion, and all boxes of the completed Checklist will turn gold-colored (except for those checked off by the purple filler).
Objectives are similar to those of Air Ride, but several involve not using items. In addition to BGM and Kirby colors, certain objectives will unlock items, camera angles, and item-changing rules.

City Trial
City Trial's objectives are completely unique because of the game style. They involve completing Stadium events with a certain score or time. Also, the top right and top left objectives are always labeled "Unlock Dragoon Parts A,B,and C" and "Unlock Hydra Parts X,Y,and Z". These objectives will unlock said vehicles in Free Run, and cannot be completed with a free check (unless the player used them on the parts objectives). 2 other objectives will unlock Meta Knight and King Dedede in Free Run. Several boxes unlock music.

Kirby Air Ride[edit]

Screencap of a partially filled-in Checklist for City Trial.

One reward in particular is a purple Checklist filler, which the player can use to automatically complete an objective they find to be too difficult, or just don't want to bother with. Each list has 5 fillers to obtain, which means the player only has to complete at least 115 objectives of a Checklist.

The following pages link to tables listing each objective, and rewards, if applicable:

Filling in 100 boxes is necessary to 'complete' the game mode, which unlocks its Ending movie. Filling in all 120 for each one is necessary for 100% completion, and all boxes of the completed Checklist will turn gold-colored (except for those checked off by the purple filler).

A Checklist is kept in this title, which is filled in by performing various tasks in the main game. There are 35 tasks in all, separated into five pages. While objectives can be completed at any time, the objectives are not shown to the player until enough Medals are collected to do so. The amount required is as follows:

 • Page 1 - 80 Medals
 • Page 2 - 100 Medals
 • Page 3 - 120 Medals
 • Page 4 - 140 Medals
 • Page 5 - 160 Medals

Completing the checklist is required for 100% completion of the game.

Kirby Battle Royale[edit]

Main article: Medal

While not called a Checklist, this title has a medal board which functions basically the same as previous Checklists. Each time a medal is earned, Battle Coins are awarded to the player, which can be used to unlock abilities and characters, battle modes, Headgear, and music files.

Trivia[edit]

 • With the exception of a few spaces, the Checklists in Kirby Air Ride have their objectives randomly scattered through the grid every time a new save file is created.
