Kirby! Follow me! We can fight Necrodeus together!
— Kirby's heroic heart calling out to his body after being separated, from the intro cutscene for Kirby Mass Attack

Kirby's heroic heart (also referred to in-game as just "the Star") is a star-shaped object in Kirby Mass Attack that pops out of Kirby when he is split into 10 smaller copies by Necrodeus. It hovers in the air and guides the Kirbys through their adventure to defeat the death god which split them and restore themselves to one again. Despite existing separately from Kirby during the events of the game, it is evidently still part of Kirby since if all the mini-Kirbys perish, the heart bursts and vanishes. Notably, the heart is also capable of speech, though it only does so through lines of text relayed by the Narrator in cutscenes.

Kirby's heroic heart serves as the means for the player to control the Kirbys, as they cannot be controlled on their own. When the player taps the stylus on the screen, the heart appears, prompting any Kirbys nearby to approach it. The heart can also be used to toss the Kirbys at objects, and pull them all into the air using magical force. When dragging the Kirbys through the air, however, the line used to guide them slowly turns red, and eventually runs out of energy. When this happens, the Kirbys cannot be pulled any further, and some time will be needed for the heroic heart to recover.

In Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, Kirby's heroic heart appears in the icon for songs from Kirby Mass Attack in the Music Room, where it depicts eight Kirbys holding on to it.
