Dedede Resort - Boss Stage is the last stage in Dedede Resort, from Kirby Mass Attack, unlocked by activating the Rainbow Bubble in Dedede Resort - Stage 10. In this stage, the Kirbys battle against King Dedede. Only 1 Kirby is required to enter the stage, and completing it unlocks the next level: Volcano Valley.

Overview

In this stage, the Kirbys enter a room in Castle Dedede which has no ceiling and a few small awnings on the sides. King Dedede appears riding a hot air balloon with his face on it, which rises up to the upper screen. From here, the battle begins, as King Dedede attacks by throwing time bombs tucked inside bubbles down at the Kirbys. If a bomb explodes on a Kirby, that Kirby will be KO'd regardless of his health. These bombs can be knocked around by throwing a Kirby at them, and knocking them back up to King Dedede in time for them to explode will deal damage to him. The bombs that King Dedede throws can have different timers on them, with the green wedge timers taking twice as long to count down as the yellow ones. Bombs will explode prematurely if they are hit by another explosion. Once King Dedede has taken enough hits, he will fall out of his balloon, allowing the Kirbys to pummel him.

As the fight goes on, King Dedede may also attempt to jump out of his balloon to stomp the Kirbys. When he does this, the Kirbys can pummel him after avoiding his stomp. Waddle Dees carrying bombs will also appear on the awnings to try and attack the Kirbys, but these can be pummeled as well. After taking sufficient hits, King Dedede's balloon will be disabled, forcing him to spend the rest of the fight trying to leap on the Kirbys and attack them with his hammer. After being pummeled and slammed to the ground three times throughout the fight, King Dedede will be defeated.

Necro Nebula - Stage 3 is the third stage in Necro Nebula, from Kirby Mass Attack, available from the start, where the Kirbys rematch against King Dedede. Only 1 Kirby is required to enter the stage, and completing it is necessary to unlock the final boss stage.

Differences from Dedede Resort

• The background is changed to feature the Necro Nebula keep in the background, with its gloomy sky and rock spires.
• King Dedede and his balloon have a different color scheme.
• There are tree branches up near the balloon's flight path which have Fruit in them that can be knocked down with explosions from the bubble bombs. The fruit will periodically replenish over time.

Trivia

• One of the Checklist objectives (called "One-on-One Victor") requires the player to complete this stage (in Dedede Resort) with only one Kirby.
