Quote1.png We've all got a job to do, and Mega Grindarr's job is to drop down on you. It weighs 10 times more than typical Grindarr, so it makes quite an impact. But that's what it signed up for, so it just grins and bears it. Quote2.png
— Figurine description of Mega Grindarr from Kirby and the Rainbow Curse

Mega Grindarr is an enemy which debuted in Kirby Mass Attack. It is similar to Grindarr, though much larger. In addition, when it falls, it sticks out its tongue. Mega Grindarr appears only once in each of the games it appears in, and despite its similarity to standard Grindarrs, it doesn't actually end up posing much of a threat to Kirby, as it is not typically in a position to crush him. Instead, Mega Grindarr is either used as a stage prop, or Kirby rides on top of it.

Game appearances[edit]

Kirby Mass Attack[edit]

Mega Grindarr makes its debut and only appearance in Kirby Mass Attack in the stage Sandy Canyon - Stage 10. It appears at the beginning of the stage, partially buried in sand, and blocking the way forward. The Kirbys tug at a pull ring to pry Mega Grindarr out of the sand, but in doing so, the entire structure that the Kirbys were situated in starts to sink into the sand. The rest of the stage involves the Kirbys rushing to escape the sinking tower before they are swallowed up with it.

Kirby and the Rainbow Curse[edit]

Mega Grindarr returns in the Kirby and the Rainbow Curse stage Dig and Dash. Here, Kirby rides the Mega Grindarr as it slowly makes its way down the structure of the stage, clearing away obstacles in its path. Here, Kirby will need to be careful not to get crushed by Mega Grindarr as he clears the way for it to keep falling.
