Extra Planet α (Alpha) is the first extra stage of Far-Flung Starlight Heroes in Kirby Star Allies. The main feature of this stage is the ability to change from day to evening to night and back again by entering round-trip doors. To unlock this stage, the Big Switch on Planet Misteen must be pressed.

Overview[edit]

The stage begins in a grassy area reminiscent of Dream Land. The path is quickly blocked by a cliffside, though a round-trip door can be accessed. Doing so changes the time of day and (interestingly enough) the topography of the land. Kirby will need to enter several of these doors in order to progress along the main path.

The next area takes place in a water tunnel, as the team is chased by a moving wall. They will need to swim quickly to avoid getting crushed.

In the last area, Kirby and his allies face off against two tough Chef Kawasakis. From there, the stage exit can be reached.

Rare Picture Piece Guide[edit]

Collecting the piece in a well-stocked side chamber.

Along the first path, Kirby will first need to find a round-trip door concealed by leaves in the evening to find a Hammer Copy Essence. From there, further down the path, there is a pool which contains an electric Stake. Plugg or Waddle Doo can be found on the path at various times of day which can provide the Zap effect needed. At night, the pool freezes, and can be broken through using a Fire-based ability. Once the electric post is hit, a door appears which leads to a room containing many goodies, including this picture piece.

Enemies, Bosses, and Abilities[edit]

Regular Enemies Bosses & Mid-Bosses

Abilities Friend Actions

  • None.

Music[edit]

The music that plays in this stage consists of the following tracks from Kirby's Return to Dream Land:

Trivia[edit]

  • The way doors are used to change the environment on this stage is reminiscent of Planet Floria from Milky Way Wishes, though on Floria, entering doors changes the season instead of the time of day.
  • The area where walls move through cramped underwater hallways is reminiscent of the Another Dimension areas in Kirby's Return to Dream Land, and uses the same music.
  • The daytime portion of this stage is reminiscent of Green Gardens, while the night-time portion of the stage resembles Extra Eclair. This marks the first of two extra stages in Kirby Star Allies (the other being Extra Planet δ) which uses stage visuals from outside the level it is featured in.
