Kirby Star Allies: The Original Soundtrack is an official-release collection of six discs featuring all 233 music tracks and other arrangements from Kirby Star Allies. The collection released on February 14th, 2019 exclusively in Japan.

Track list[edit]

The following tables list each track on the disks, with notes on where each music track plays in-game. Some of the translations and notes on this page have been taken and used with permission from the 'kirby posts' Tumblr page, while some other tracks are given official English names, because they were named as such in-game, in other soundtracks or in other games.

Included with the full set purchase is an additional Playbutton album called Kirby Arrange Selection, containing eight tracks not found in the game proper, many of which are arrangements from previous soundtracks and/or Kirby games.

The soundtrack songs are mostly unmodified from the in-game Jukebox, other than being ordered differently and edited to fade out. However, some songs are slightly different:

  • All of the tracks from Kirby's Dream Land were re-recorded for the soundtrack.
  • "Project K-64" from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards loops in-game, but uses its original ending on the soundtrack.
  • "To There, Where Not Even Light Shines" has a different loop point on the soundtrack compared to how it loops in-game.
    • As a result, this specific instrumentation of "Far-Flung Travelers at Adventure's End" slowly desyncs from the "Far-Flung Starlight Heroes" instrumentation before the fade out.
  • "Chop Champs" and "Suite: The Star-Conquering Traveler - Fourth Movement: Hope of Birth" use their pre-2.0.0 versions on the soundtrack.

The booklet included with the box set denotes the composer for each track with a shape; triangle (▲) for Jun Ishikawa, circle (●) for Hirokazu Ando, and square (■) for Yuuta Ogasawara.

Trivia[edit]

  • On a first-come first-served basis, orders directly placed via the Kirby Portal shop (for either the limited edition set or the CD-only set) included printed versions of some of the Celebration Pictures, with sketch concept art of them on the reverse side.
    • Also included with early printings was an advertisement for Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn, whose release in Japan was imminent at the time of the soundtrack's release.
  • On February 20th, 2019, it was revealed that there was an error in the track list names. Specifically, track 4-27 was misnamed 'Grass Land: Stage Select' when it was actually 'Ripple Field: Stage Select'.[1] Replacement obi and booklets were offered, along with an apology letter.[2]
