Galleries[edit]

Hi. Great job on improving the Kirby: Squeak Squad gallery! Just remember that there is no need for including the identifier "File:" for files in galleries. Thanks! --DeepFriedCabbage 17:10, 1 June 2020 (UTC)

Alright! Superbound (talk) 18:03, 1 June 2020 (UTC)

about the water article[edit]

I know that Kirby Right Back at Ya is not a game, but it still came before Kirby's Return to Dreamland, it also featured Water Kirby but in a different form —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rowbro (talkcontribs) . Please always sign your comments by typing ~~~~!

Still, the edits you made are redundant with section specifically for anime.

Discord?[edit]

Greetings, Superbound. I notice you've been fairly active on the wiki, and I commend your work so far. That said, we might be able to coordinate better if you join our Discord server. We often use it to coordinate our wiki efforts, and it's also a good place to hang out and talk about things not directly associated with WiKirby. Now, if you don't have Discord and don't have a desire to get one, it will not stop you from continuing to be a part of the community and potentially advancing in rank, but IMO, you will have a better time here if you are on the Discord than otherwise.

Here is the link. Discord. I look forward to seeing you there. --Samwell (talk) 12:51, 29 July 2020 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for invitation, but I sometimes found SM sometimes too distracting. However, I might reconsider joining in future. Cheers. Superbound (talk) 12:54, 29 July 2020 (UTC)

Super Kirby Clash passwords[edit]

Hey Superbound, I'm wondering where are you getting the passwords you're adding to the Super Kirby Clash password page from? After a quick search on the Kirby Twitter I found some with the dates of the ones you added but they are completely different, plus I don't believe any of them use Kanji or special characters like "☆". Maybe you're getting them from somewhere else however so that's what I'm wondering. Gigi (talk) 16:40, 30 July 2020 (UTC)

I take them from Twitter but I really know Japanese, so I could mess up :/. To make sure we checked same tweets:
I take them from tweet's text, specifically te part in『』 that is not Super Kirby Clash Japanese name (スーパーカービィハンターズ). Superbound (talk) 16:49, 30 July 2020 (UTC)
Yeah these you listed aren't the passwords. The passwords are never in the text of these tweets, they are in the image posted. This example should probably let you understand better as it has both a Japanese and an English password. If you need an further help, feel free to let me know. Gigi (talk) 17:05, 30 July 2020 (UTC)
Cool, thanks. Superbound (talk) 17:12, 30 July 2020 (UTC)
If you're using either Firefox or Chromium-based browsers that are compatible with their addons/extensions, there are neat translator ones which could come of great help (if you're using Chrome itself, it should have one built-in that can even automatically translate). On the Super Kirby Clash's Japanese website near the bottom, there's a log of all the previous passwords. If you search the net, someone catalogues these here up to date in text form, it seems. Always compare what you copy with the image please. —Viperision (talk) 22:50, 30 July 2020 (UTC)
Thanks, I thought the text and image passwords are the same. Superbound (talk) 17:20, 2 August 2020 (UTC)

Patroller[edit]

Hey, you've been recommended for Patroller status! As a patroller, you'll be able to rollback and patrol edits on recent changes, mark pages as good, and discuss staff matters on the Discord (if you're on there). You'll also be entitled to a purple username on recent changes and a gold medal on your userpage. You've made quite a few edits to the wiki over the last two months alone, so it's clear you have a lot of passion, and that's just what we need for new staff members. Is this something you'd interested in? It's up to you! --YFJ (talk · edits) 17:21, 3 August 2020 (UTC)

Sure, why not. Superbound (talk) 04:48, 4 August 2020 (UTC)

Regarding typos[edit]

Heya Superbound. I've noticed you tend to make typos in articles sometimes and I have just been correcting them as I saw them, but now you moved an article with a typo in it. So first of all, before you ever move any file or article, please double check the name of what you're going to move to, because that's really important. Secondly, please do take more care in the future with typos. If it helps, look into getting an English spellchecker; I am not a native English speaker myself and spellcheckers help me a lot when typing stuff in English. I don't know what browser you use, but I use Google Chrome and it's easy to turn on its spellchecker and even set up multiple languages for it. If you need it, I would be happy to help you further with that. Gigi (talk) 12:28, 4 August 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for advice, I'm going to change it now. Regarding browser, I sometimes use different browsers, but usually Google Chrome. Superbound (talk) 08:21, 5 August 2020 (UTC)

Regarding featured content[edit]

Greetings, Superbound. I noticed that you undid my features because you believed that a week was needed for each featured article. However, this rule only applies to new featured content, and the last page that was newly featured was Sword, which already had its week in the sun. I have gone ahead and reverted the pages back to how they were. Just make sure to keep that in mind going forward. --Samwell (talk) 15:54, 5 August 2020 (UTC)

Huh, ok. Superbound (talk) 06:58, 6 August 2020 (UTC)

Moderator[edit]

Alright, so if you haven't noticed in recent changes, we're adding a new moderator rank, and you're one of our candidates. As moderator, you'll be able to view Special:Moderation, and moderate edits from anons and new users. You'll also have the authority to settle disputes. Would you be interested in this position? --YFJ (talk · edits) 15:47, 10 September 2020 (UTC)

How does that Moderation work? And what do you mean by "settle disputes"? Does it have to do with {{Dispute}}? Superbound (talk) 10:54, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
Basically, you'd just check Special:Moderation regularly and verify any edits made by anons and new users, and reject any clearly bad faith vandalism. As for settling disputes, yes, in discussions marked by the Dispute template, you can put an end to it if it gets out of hand. --YFJ (talk · edits) 19:09, 12 September 2020 (UTC)
I'll think about it. Superbound (talk) 07:00, 13 September 2020 (UTC)
Will there be an option to come back to patroller rank if I wish to? Superbound (talk) 10:15, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
Just to clarify, if yes, then I will accept the offer. Superbound (talk) 12:11, 17 September 2020 (UTC)
Indeed, if you ever want the Moderator rank removed, I can do that. I will go make changes right away. Cheers! --YFJ (talk · edits) 06:08, 18 September 2020 (UTC)

Kirby JP Twitter image resolutions[edit]

I mentioned you in the Discord server, but here's it as well. I noticed many of your later uploads (i.e. for the illustrations and Channel PPP posts) were added in their "small" resolution. When you open a Twitter image in new tab, you can see &name=small at the end of its URL (which results 680×383px or whatever height) - normally, their originals are larger than this, and changing the URL part to &name=large (or "orig") will give you the original resolution (aka 1020/1280 widths). —Viperision (talk) 15:55, 13 September 2020 (UTC)

Didn't know about that. Thanks!
...As of Discord, I have problem logging into my account. I planned messaging the staff about it, but I have delayed it in time over and over and haven't gotten to it yet. Superbound (talk) 18:50, 13 September 2020 (UTC)

My account[edit]

Hi Can I have my user page please

     *Frisk* (talk) 17:40, 8 November 2020 (UTC)
Hoy. If you want to make a userpage, you need to become autoconfirmed. For this, you must have a minimum of five edits on WiKirby and have had an account for at least 24 hours. If you head around the wiki and find some small things to fix up, you will arrive at five edits in no time at all. --Samwell (talk) 04:50, 9 November 2020 (UTC)

Sorry, I don't understand. Anyone can view these images, what do you mean "allowed for everyone"? Also, sign your comments with ~~~~. Superbound (talk) 15:22, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
sorry i forgot to add signature. the files say they r personal files, does that mean only i can use them? --SakuraiWhy (talk) 15:26, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
Well, these are files that you uploaded for your userpage specifically, however, nothing stops you from allowing other users from using them, you just need to inform about (like, for example, on the file's page). Superbound (talk) 15:29, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
thanks m8 --SakuraiWhy (talk) 15:41, 20 November 2020 (UTC)

Two things[edit]

Hey there. I'm just here to ask you two things.

Regarding a project on WiKirby

User Kirb has begun creating an April Fools' Day article for 2021 called Samwell Mass Attack. It was an event we had over on the Discord on September 29th of this year where a fair few of us impersonated Samwell. Shame that you couldn't join in. However, you may be able to join in this article. See here, Kirb is placing certain editors' names in game names as a joke. I'm here to ask you if you would like your name in one of the titles.

Regarding Discord

As you can see if you scroll up a bit, you said you have a problem logging in. Maybe if you explain what the problem is we can get you on here.

-- Jellytost (talk) 04:56, 22 November 2020 (UTC)

  1. I have some reservations about this project, but if most agrees, I'm fine with participating in it
  2. Generally, it appears "Nieprawidłowe zaproszenie. To zaproszenie mogło już wygasnąć lub nie masz uprawnień, żeby dołączyć", which translates to "Invalid invitation. The invitation might already expire or you are not allowed to join". My guess is, I have entered a invalid e-mail address and I just need to message Discord about it.
Superbound (talk) 10:26, 22 November 2020 (UTC)
Understood. Kirb will include you as a game name in the navbox. Do you want me to bring up your problem to the other staff members on Discord itself? Or do you want to try messaging Discord first? -- Jellytost (talk) 18:40, 22 November 2020 (UTC)
I'd prefer messaging Discord first assuming I won't procrastinate it for another few months again. If nothing happens in a span of month, you can bring it up to the rest of the staff. Superbound (talk) 19:12, 22 November 2020 (UTC)
Aight. -- Jellytost (talk) 19:24, 22 November 2020 (UTC)
About the error message. Is the message while attempting to sign in, or access the server? --kirb 12:17, 10 December 2020 (UTC)
Well, it appears as soon as I click the link on the sidebar, I don't know Discord well enough to tell which is which. Superbound (talk) 12:24, 10 December 2020 (UTC)
At this point, I would suggest getting a new Discord account altogether. If the problem still persists, you might want to try completely reinstalling Discord as well. Let's just say there are hopes among the staff that you will rejoin us there soon, so please don't dally to get this issue resolved. Cheers. --Samwell (talk) 05:29, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
Okey, I'll try it in a moment. Superbound (talk) 13:24, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
Well, I tried to do this, but after registering it redirects me to this page and ask me to enter my date of birth. This is no problem, but choosing it does nothing. Like, I choose a number and no return reaction from Discord. I tried browsing their support page but found nothing about it. If this helps I use Discord from browser. Did any on of you had similar problem, or any ideas how to solve it? Superbound (talk) 14:37, 16 December 2020 (UTC)

You could try Desktop Discord. Or, check to make sure you followed all of the sign up instructions properly.(Moved to the left because too many replies)--kirb 05:04, 26 December 2020 (UTC)

Already featured picture[edit]

Just here to explain the picture I placed for nomination on the occasional nomination page that is already featured. I know that it is already featured. However, since it is a Christmas centered picture, I am trying to convert it over to the proper system of being featured occasionally during Christmas time by having it voted in through this nomination. I suggest you consider changing your vote, unless I need to explain more. -- Jellytost (talk) 07:33, 16 December 2020 (UTC)

Oh, I wasn't aware of that. Just removed my vote. Superbound (talk) 13:24, 16 December 2020 (UTC)

File description[edit]

Hi Superbound! I saw that you added I needed clarification on the image I just uploaded, and I was wondering how I can assist with that? For all the relevant information, I used citra to emulate that level of KPR, and I used the built-in screenshot feature to capture the image. I then used a free online image cropping tool to restrict the image to just the top screen. Thank you for your time, and have a great day! LeoUnlimited (talk) 17:30, 19 December 2020 (UTC)

Well, "Game screenshot" sounds more like a statement rather than source, that's my problem. Something like "Captured by myself" or "Own capture using citra emulator" would have worked. Have great day too! (although it's already evening where I live) Superbound (talk) 17:38, 19 December 2020 (UTC)

Assistance[edit]

Greetings. I am here to ask for your help. Occasional featured images - like this one - were originally planned to be categorized into a featured image category separate from the normal one. To do this, however, would require the featured template to have something similar to the Good template's categorization done to it. Problem is, I'm not too aware of how to do this. That's why I've come to ask you how this needs to be done. -- Jellytost (talk) 07:11, 31 December 2020 (UTC)

Done, now tagging image with {{Featured|<name of holiday>}} will categorize them in just made Category:Seasonal featured images. Next time you might want to ask Pandakekok9 next time for things like that, as he was the one who originally did the coding, I just added a few modifications. Superbound (talk) 14:23, 31 December 2020 (UTC)
Thanks. I'll make sure to do that next time around. Also, renaming the category to "Occasional featured images" may be better since "Occasional" is part of the nomination's title, and a heads up that your Moderator userbox image isn't showing properly. -- Jellytost (talk) 23:47, 31 December 2020 (UTC)
First of all, Happy New Year! On topic of category's name, I wasn't sure about it myself, so you are free to move it. I'm also fixing userbox in a moment. Superbound (talk) 15:13, 1 January 2021 (UTC)
Happy New Year to you as well. I'll go ahead and move it. Again, thank you for helping. -- Jellytost (talk) 03:07, 2 January 2021 (UTC)

Regarding listing years in infoboxes[edit]

Greetings, Superbound. I noticed you've been adding years to the infobox pages. I should let you know that when you do that, you only need to list the years for the debut and last appearance, in order to give a range of years for that particular subject matter. It's not necessary to list years in the other games section for that reason. Just a heads up. --Samwell (talk) 01:40, 24 January 2021 (UTC)

Okay, got it. There's also something I would like to ask. In other edits I have changed formatting from e.g. Super Kirby Clash (2019) (cameo) to Super Kirby Clash (2019, cameo). Should I revert it as well? Or should it be Super Kirby Clash (cameo, 2019), or perhaps Super Kirby Clash (cameo) (2019)? Superbound (talk) 10:37, 24 January 2021 (UTC)
They are separate notes, so I think (2019) (cameo) would be best. --Samwell (talk) 15:43, 24 January 2021 (UTC)
I think it looks unprofessional, but whatever, I'll be fixing my edits soon. Superbound (talk) 18:11, 25 January 2021 (UTC)

Discord[edit]

Hello, I have read through your issue and it seems like either you have a cache/cookie problem, some sort of adblocker stopping Discord from working properly, or a filter issue. Have you tried downloading the desktop Discord? --kirb 21:48, 26 January 2021 (UTC)

Just downloaded yesterday, I have some small errors, but I'm sure I'll get around them quickly later today. Thanks! Superbound (talk) 14:58, 28 January 2021 (UTC)
Have you got it working yet? --kirb 15:49, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
I finally did it! I'm Kirby Super Star#7731 here. Superbound (talk) 16:50, 29 January 2021 (UTC)

Admin[edit]

Hey Superbound! I am pleased to inform you that you have been recommended for the rank of Administrator. As an Administrator, you'll have access to pretty much any major tool on the site, including the ability to block users, run automated text replacements, lock pages from editing, delete pages, promote and demote users, edit site CSS, and check user IPs. You'll also be given Administrator status on the Shiver Star Discord server and be given access to the private NIWA staff server (if you can get your Discord working again, that is). You've worked hard as an editor and the staff has determined you'd be a great fit for the position. The choice is yours if you are willing to accept. --YFJ (talk · edits) 22:04, 28 January 2021 (UTC)

Can you give me a few days to think it through? Superbound (talk) 12:34, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
You have all the time you need. We'd be glad to have you in this position, but by no means do we want to force it on you either. --Samwell (talk) 15:38, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
"...At the moment, Superbound accepted the offer, and became the one with eye-burning cyan username. And after that, everyone lived happily ever after despite having their eyes burned. THE END"
...
...
But seriously, I am afraid I will have to decline the promotion. While I would really want to gain access to some of these tools, there is something that does not allow me. Thanks for understanding. Superbound (talk) 14:41, 5 February 2021 (UTC)
Aye. Let us know if you change your mind. The offer will remain open. --Samwell (talk) 15:36, 5 February 2021 (UTC)

I messed up[edit]

When I talked about The Great Cave Offensive, for some dumb reason I thought this was the Smash Wiki. Oops. Sorry about that. The reception for the stage is quite awful, though.(Tell me if you agree.) I didn't know I was making an edit to WiKirby. I never meant to. ':I --Marx4Smash (talk) 13:21, 15 September 2021 (UTC)

I really didn't mean to edit it. I had both Wiki's open at the same time.

First of all, I'd like to give an apology for a late response. I was unable to do so earlier.
As of your apology, while it's great that you want others to understand why you failed, many of your edits at the moment are going around talk pages apologizing for them despite their minorness. I recommend just simply taking notes or talk through less formal means of communication, such as Discord (which you may join as long as you are 13 or older).
Keep on editing and have a nice day. Superbound (talk) 13:33, 18 September 2021 (UTC)
