This glitch can only be performed in the Japanese version of the game. While using the [[Wing]] ability, if Kirby takes [[damage]] from a high-knockback source such as an enemy bomb or [[Gordo]] while in the process of canceling a Dive-Bomb attack, and stays airborne for long enough while in the hurt animation, he will suddenly gain tremendous upward speed, and be able to pass through solid objects like walls and ceilings. there should be more glitches than this

These are the glitches which are possible to perform in Kirby Super Star Ultra. Please read the Glitch Disclaimer Notes before attempting any of the glitches on this page.

List of glitches

Hyper Waddle Doo glitch

To do this, Kirby must have either the Copy or Bomb copy abilities and play in Milky Way Wishes.

Kirby must go to Planet Skyhigh and reach the room with the Parasol Waddle Dee and Parasol Waddle Doo, entering from the door on the right. Kirby must then use either Copy's Analyze Beam to get Parasol from the Parasol Waddle Doo and hit it with the parasol's active hitbox or throw a bomb at it with the Bomb ability. In order for the glitch to work, the Waddle Doo must land on the middle platform after getting hit and losing its Parasol. If done correctly, the now parasol-less Waddle Doo will start moving at much higher speeds than usual and will build up even more speed over time until it eventually falls through the middle of the room.[1]

Helper Phase glitch

To do this glitch, Kirby must have a helper and play in Milky Way Wishes.

Kirby needs to go to planet Mekkai, and spawn a helper. Once Kirby and the helper get to the room with the wind, go to the left of that room, and the helper should begin walking against the wind, then turn left and right at a speed comparable to the Waddle Doo involved in the above Hyper Waddle Doo glitch. The helper will then do a normal attack, slide back, walk forward, face left and right quickly, repeat. This may not work with every helper.[2]

Suplex crash glitch

While using the Suplex ability, if Kirby grabs the Bomber right before it falls into Chef Kawasaki's boss room in the Peanut Plains stage in Dyna Blade and then the player presses B after Kirby lands, the game will crash after the Bomber is defeated.

Wing zip

This glitch can only be performed in the Japanese version of the game. While using the Wing ability, if Kirby takes damage from a high-knockback source such as an enemy bomb or Gordo while in the process of canceling a Dive-Bomb attack, and stays airborne for long enough while in the hurt animation, he will suddenly gain tremendous upward speed, and be able to pass through solid objects like walls and ceilings. While moving upward in this state, Kirby can maintain it by using Feather Gun or stop it early by flapping his wings. This glitch is extremely useful for performing skips in tool-assisted speedruns. It can be performed in Peanut Plains and Mallow Castle in the Dyna Blade game mode, in Old Tower in The Great Cave Offensive, and in Hotbeat and Halfmoon in Milky Way Wishes.[3][4]
