Oh no! Oh no! What do we do?!
— Sailor Waddle Dee in Revenge of Meta Knight - Chapter 1, Kirby Super Star Ultra

Sailor Waddle Dee is a minor character who first appeared in Kirby Super Star (and later in its remake) in Revenge of Meta Knight. He is a Waddle Dee who wears a sailor's cap. Sailor Waddle Dee never directly interacts with Kirby, and is usually only present through his dialogue in Revenge of Meta Knight, or in the background in his other appearances.

Game appearances[edit]

Kirby Super Star / Kirby Super Star Ultra[edit]

Sailor Waddle Dee first appears in Kirby Super Star and Kirby Super Star Ultra, where he is one of the characters exchanging dialogue with the others during gameplay in Revenge of Meta Knight. His role is a more introspective, in contrast with the other characters trying to stop Kirby from boarding and destroying the Halberd. He is sometimes absent-minded, such as when he accidentally reveals the secret to destroying the Reactor.

Sailor Waddle Dee is not seen in the stages proper. Additionally, he has the least amount of dialogue of the Halberd crew. However, he is the last one to stay when the other Meta-Knights abandon ship; he was the only witness to Meta Knight's duel with Kirby. While his fate is unclear, it is presumed that he safely escaped before the Halberd sank into the ocean.

Kirby Mass Attack[edit]

Sailor Waddle Dee reappears in Kirby Mass Attack, where he makes a cameo in the Meta Knight battle of the Strato Patrol EOS sub-game. He is seen cheering for him alongside Bandana Waddle Dee.

Kirby: Planet Robobot[edit]

Sailor Waddle Dee makes a cameo appearance in Kirby: Planet Robobot as a unique sticker. This unique sticker can be found in Patched Plains - Stage 3. Notably, this is the first time he is properly named as such in a Kirby game.

Team Kirby Clash Deluxe[edit]

Sailor Waddle Dee reappears as a minor cameo in Team Kirby Clash Deluxe, where he appears in the background of the village after Whispy Woods is defeated for the first time. He runs about behind the Gem Apple tree, chasing butterflies.

Kirby Battle Royale[edit]

Main article: Alternate costumes#Headgear table

In Kirby Battle Royale, a Headgear called Sailor Cap can be purchased for 1500 Battle Coins for the Waddle Dee Ability. The description states that the cap is "a favorite among those working on a certain battle ship", referencing the Halberd.

The following are all of Sailor Waddle Dee's lines of dialogue from Kirby Super Star and Kirby Super Star Ultra. For greater context, see the Revenge of Meta Knight chapter pages:
