White Wafers - Stage 1 (simply called Stage 1 or 4-1 in-game) is the first stage of White Wafers in Kirby's Return to Dream Land and its remake—Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe. There are three Energy Spheres in this stage.

Overview

Kirby takes some time to shout at some Scarfies while traversing the icy tunnels.

The stage begins out on the drifts of an utterly frozen landscape, featuring ice-spewing volcanoes in the background. Kirby will have to brave the chilly landscape, icy in places, and also jump in and out of igloos. Many of these igloos contain food items, enemies, and elemental blocks that can be broken using the opposing Copy Ability.

Through the door, the next path makes way to steps. Kirby can use a Crackler to tackle the numerous enemies up ahead.

The next area has Kirby firing between many cannons over a series of bottomless pits below. Kirby will need to be careful here, as many of the cannons have the potential to fire him into the abyss below. Near the end, the path splits in two, with the lower one being slightly less visible.

The next area is split into two paths. Which one Kirby ends up on depends on which door he entered from. The upper path is a snowy affair lined with numerous foes. The lower path is an ice tunnel with hazardous icicle spikes on the floor and ceiling. A Walky can be swallowed on the lower path for the elusive Mike ability.

The last area is inside a large igloo. Kirby will have to battle Gigant Edge before being allowed to exit and reach the Goal Door. On the way out, Kirby can nab a 1-Up if he grabs the Whip Copy Essence.

Energy Sphere guide

  • In the first area, the first sphere can be found by using the Fire ability to break through ice blocks inside an igloo.
  • In the Cannon area, Kirby can find the second sphere by shooting upward into a hidden passage in the ceiling.
  • From the cannon area, Kirby must take the lower path to reach the lower tunnel in the next area. In this tunnel, the last sphere can be obtained over a spike pit.
