Bulby[Japanese title] is a rare enemy from Kirby's Return to Dream Land. It is first encountered in the Onion Ocean level and yields the Leaf ability when swallowed.
Much like the Clayn which is encountered along with this enemy, Bulby hides at first, only its flower visible, then pops up out of the ground when approached. Its body consists of a bulb, with a pair of black eyes and small frog-like legs. It is topped with a couple leaves and the flower, from which it will shoot spores that can hit above it. Once it shoots its spore, it will immediately burrow itself back into the ground unless dealt with. The spore is not so much an issue as much as its attack when it pops out of the ground, as that can take the unwary adventurer by surprise when other flowers in the game will yield stars and occasionally food when approached.
