 This box: view  talk  edit
The real Clawroline asked Kirby to help her save Leongar. This phantom feline is a fake! Formed from negative thoughts and powerful psychic energy, this wild beast doesn't seem to care about Leongar at all. She may be an illusion, but her claws will cause real damage!
— Phantom Clawroline's figure description in Kirby and the Forgotten Land

Phantom Clawroline (titled Illusory Leopard) is a more powerful illusory form of Clawroline which appears as the boss of Forgo Park in Kirby and the Forgotten Land, and can also be fought in The Ultimate Cup Z in the Colosseum. Phantom Clawroline looks and fights largely the same as her real counterpart, but has a different color scheme, with bright cyan, purple, and magenta fur, and eyes resembling those of Fecto Forgo.

Attacks

Phantom Clawroline has all of the same attacks as her normal counterpart, though some have different properties, and also sports a few new ones. She also has more health than Clawroline.

The following are all of Phantom Clawroline's attacks (attack names are conjectural unless otherwise stated). Attacks in italics are only used in Phase 2.

Attack Description Variants
Hide Claw Phantom Clawroline gets on all fours and vanishes in a puff of smoke. After a drum roll and swiveling lights hint to where she might appear, she reappears and uses a Final Claw on Kirby, leaving three Drop Stars.
Nails Phantom Clawroline takes out five knives before throwing them at Kirby, leaving one Drop Star once they reach the edge of the arena. She can throw one, two, three, or four groups of these in quick succession. Inhaling her knives will give Kirby the Sword ability.
Roll Jump + Drop Claw Phantom Clawroline leaps toward Kirby and then falls straight downward with her claws out, creating a shockwave on landing and producing several Drop Stars. She may do this several times in succession.
Claw Phantom Clawroline takes out her claws and slashes two or four times in front of her, leaving a Drop Star with each slash. She may finish with Final Claw involving both claws, leaving three Drop Stars behind.
Assault Slash Phantom Clawroline takes out her claws, gets into position, and dashes at high speed towards Kirby, leaving a Drop Star wherever she created an afterimage of herself. Phantom Clawroline may perform one of these quickly after using Claw Swipe.
Pillar Jump Attack Phantom Clawroline jumps to one of the metal structures surrounding the arena before taking out her claws and diving towards Kirby's current location, leaving six Drop Stars in a hexagonal pattern on impact with the ground. When starting phase 2, Phantom Clawroline creates three illusory copies of herself. These all dive first, leaving no Drop Stars when they do so.
Dimension Claw Phantom Clawroline steps back, and then throws two energy waves in an X shape at Kirby that leave Drop Stars in their wake. This attack is similar to the one Leongar uses.
スリルエッジ[1]
Thrill Edge
Phantom Clawroline jumps to one of the metal structures surrounding the arena before taking out nine knives and throwing them at Kirby in rapid succession, leaving a Drop Star on impact. She may repeat this move one or two more times before following up with an Acrobat Dive.

Trivia

  • Likely by mistake, Phantom Clawroline is the only phantom boss not referred to with gender neutral pronouns.
