Step It Up! Moving the Stairs (Stairs Mouth Treasure for short) is a stage in Treasure Road, found in Everbay Coast. This stage tasks Kirby with completing a challenge revolving around the use of Stairs Mouth, making use of multiple sets of stairs to weigh down switches. The stage is initially hidden, and can be found by "searching" the World Map, located on a rocky outcrop shortly below and to the right of the stage select are for The Tropical Terror. It is marked by three stars of difficulty and has a stage time of three and a half minutes (three minutes in Wild Mode), with a target time of one minute and 45 seconds.
Stage details[edit]
This stage takes place in three main parts. In the first, Kirby only needs to move one set of stairs and crush an Awoofy in the way. Using the stairs, he can climb up and hit the first switch to make the warp pad activate. The second platform features three sets of stairs in different orientations, and a couple Rabiroos in the way. Kirby will need to use these stair sets to weigh down the switches in the lower area, and then climb up to the high platform to flip the last one. The third and final main area features five sets of stairs, some Big Kabu and a Gabon guarding the elevated platform. Five switches need to be weighed down in the lower portion before Kirby can hit the last one, and then take the warp pad to the Rare Stone platform.
Tips[edit]
The following are tips on how to attain the target time for this stage:
- When Kirby spits out the stairs, he tends to place them a fair distance ahead of himself if he can. This can be used to save a little time while moving stairs into position.
- The main difficulty in getting a good time on this stage is knowing which stairs to move in which order. If possible, the player could take screenshots of the rooms (or use the ones on this page) to make a plan for how to move the stairs.
