“ | These Rampaging Doomers are from another dimension. Instead of hunting spheres, someone is making them seek Fruit Fragments. Wait...haven't we met the big boss of all Doomers already?! | ” | — VS Rampaging Doomers Special Page from Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe |
The Rampaging Doomers are the boss of Locandra Dimension from Magolor Epilogue: The Interdimensional Traveler in Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe. They are a group of four sickly purple-colored Sphere Doomer-like creatures who have horns made of Energy Sphere gears and who attack in a coordinated manner, dropping exploding gas clouds wherever they fly. Upon defeating them, Magolor will receive a Fruit Fragment that lets him upgrade his magical skills even further.
Attacks
The following are all of The Rampaging Doomers' attacks. Attacks in italics are used in the second phase only. Note that attack names are conjectural, and borrow from known names of attacks from other bosses where appropriate:
Rampaging Doomers' attacks | |
---|---|
Attack | Description |
Energy Bullet | One or more Rampaging Doomers fires dark orbs in various patterns which explode on impact or after a moment. The Doomers may also throw out exploding gas clouds around themselves while doing this. The energy bullets can be knocked away with any attack or inhaled and swallowed for the Bomb Copy Ability. |
Glide Attack | A Rampaging Doomer charges up, then dives across the stage, dealing damage if it hits and dropping exploding gas clouds as it passes. Theses dives may be synchronized with one or more other Doomers, and there are several different patterns to the dives. In the second phase, the dive patterns tend to be faster and leave more gas clouds in their wake. |
'Synchronized Glide Attack from Behind | All four Doomers form a close diamond formation in the background and then fly through the middle of the stage while spinning around each other. Once they pass, a huge number of exploding gas clouds appear all around the arena. |
Synchronized Energy Bullet Volley from Behind | All four Rampaging Doomers fire dark orbs in from the background, lobbing them so they fall from above. They do this attack twice in a row. After finishing, they all fly in toward the arena at once and leave exploding gas clouds along the floor. The energy bullets can be knocked away with any attack or inhaled and swallowed for the Bomb ability. |
Synchronized Mini Black Hole Dance | All four Rampaging Doomers appear in diamond formation in the center of the arena, create a mini black hole in the middle of their formation that draws player characters in, and then create a ring of exploding gas clouds that circle the mini black hole before the Doomers fly off in different directions, dropping more gas clouds as they pass. |
