Seek the Switches! Homing Bomb Hunt (Homing Bomb Treasure for short) is a stage in Treasure Road, found in Redgar Forbidden Lands. This stage tasks Kirby with completing a challenge revolving around the use of Homing Bomb, using the seeker properties of the bombs to hit switches and defeat enemies. The stage is unlocked upon completing Enter the Fiery Forbidden Lands. In order to access this challenge, Kirby needs to have acquired Homing Bomb. It is marked by two stars of difficulty and has a stage time of two minutes and 30 seconds (two minutes in Wild Mode), with a target time of one minute.
Stage details
This stage has Kirby tossing his homing bombs in four distinct puzzles. Each of these puzzles requires Kirby to hit one or more switches to make the next puzzle come down. To do this, Kirby needs to toss a bomb into the vicinity, and then have it seek the enemy above the switch in question. Later puzzles throw in gates that need to be opened by hitting red switches first, and the last requires Kirby to toss an extra bomb onto an elevator so it moves up and seeks the switch up above. Once all four challenges are complete, the platform containing the Rare Stone will come down.
Tips
The following are tips on how to attain the target time for this stage:
- The target time on this stage is a little tight, especially considering the elevator wait time between sections. The best strategy is for Kirby to make quick hops and throw bombs successively. On the gated sections, it may be better for him to save the gates for last. It may also save some time for him to only focus the Poppy Bros. Jr. when they are direct obstacles (such as in the last sections).
