Surprise Alien Board (referred to in short as an alien) is an enemy and stage hazard that appears in Kirby and the Forgotten Land, primarily in the stage Invasion at the House of Horrors. It is a wooden cut-out of a stereotypical space alien (coming in red, green, or blue) that pops out of the wall in order to surprise Kirby and/or block his way. After the board comes out, it will typically linger for a moment before moving back out of the way again, though some will remain in place indefinitely. Surprise Alien Boards cannot harm Kirby, but they may get in the way while something else does. Surprise Alien Boards cannot be inhaled or damaged using normal attacks, but they can be broken using Vending Mouth. They yield nothing when destroyed, though one of the mission objectives for Invasion at the House of Horrors is to break 13 of them.

Surprise Alien Board has a Gotcha figure, but lacks a description.
