A Figure is a collectible item in Kirby and the Forgotten Land that, while not required to complete the game, is required for 100% completion. Figures are hidden throughout the main Story Mode, but can also be obtained by spending Star Coins on a Gotcha Machine in Gotcha Machine Alley. If Kirby attempts to use a Gotcha Machine for a volume that he's already collected all available figures from, excluding the rare figures, a warning prompt will display notifying him that he's collected all the available ones and ask if he wishes to continue to turn the crank. To keep any obtained figures in stages, Kirby has to complete the stage he found them in. Certain figures can only be obtained by completing specific criteria, whether it be from first-time wins in the Colosseum, completing mini-games, or for interacting with the locals in Waddle Dee Town.

Description

Before collection, a figure resembles a plastic capsule with a semi-transparent light blue top half and depending on which volume series it belongs to, the bottom half will either be yellow for Vol. 1, green for Vol. 2, red for Vol. 3 and blue for Vol. 4. Inside contains an indistinct dark gray figure along with a paper slip that bears the same advertisement as the one on the face of the Gotcha Machine that's from the same series that particular capsule belongs to. Figures represent the various friendly NPCs, Copy Abilities, Mouthful Modes, enemies, bosses, items and other miscellaneous objects found in the New World. They're also provided a ranking ranging from 1 to 5 to denote their rareness. Those with a rank of 3 or higher are given a description in-game while ranks 1 and 2 are not provided one. Figures can be viewed and looked at in closer detail in the Figure Collection menu, accessible from pressing the - button. In this menu, up to 3 can be selected to be displayed in Kirby's house at a time.

There are 256 figures in total and they come in two types: Normal and Rare. Once the stage is complete, any collected figures will be uncovered and added to the collection. Normal figures are randomly obtained and newer volumes can be obtained from later stages. Rare figures are unique, however, and can be found only in Waddle Dee Town by using services, playing minigames and completing in the Colosseum's cups for the first time.

Volume Series

There are four Gotcha Machines in total that will appear as the player progresses throughout the game, costing a certain amount of Star Coins for each use.

• Vol. 1 - 79 Figures in total (72 obtainable randomly); costs 10 Star Coins each.
• Vol. 2 - 78 Figures in total; costs 20 Star Coins each.
• Vol. 3 - 56 Figures in total; costs 50 Star Coins each.
• Vol. 4 - 43 Figures in total (34 obtainable randomly); costs 100 Star Coins each.

1	3	Bandana Waddle Dee			Bandana Waddle Dee was pulled through the vortex along with Kirby. When he heard that his fellow Waddle Dees were being captured by the Beast Pack, he grabbed his trusty spear and ran to help! He can join you as P2 while you explore the new world.
1	3	Waddle Dee			These Dee-lightful residents of Planet Popstar landed in the new world before Kirby arrived. Things looked grim when wild beasts began to capture them and steal their precious food…but with Kirby’s help, they’re rebuilding their town and starting over!
1	3	Sword			Slice through this new world as a sword-wielding, green-hatted hero! Try charging up before you swing for extra power. Train hard, and become this world’s new sword master!
1	3	Bomb			Hold down the button to aim and throw. Got it? Hold, aim, throw! Throw, hit, BOOM! You can run and throw them too, or roll them ahead of you to get an explosive strike!
1	3	Cutter			Swish! Sling that sharp-edged boomerang! Use it to grab far-off items. Hold the button down to freeze it in midair and charge it up. That will make it extra powerful! Swish!
1	3	Fire			This ability is hot, hot, hot! Light fuses, burn through obstacles, and toast your enemies with the power of a raging fire. Run, jump, then attack to blast forward as a fireball!
1	3	Ranger			Time for some shooting-star sharpshooting! Pew, pew! Hold the button down to charge and aim, then let go to send a sparkling shot flying. Charge it up for bigger blasts!
1	3	Needle			Ouch! Ouch! Careful with those spikes! Jab enemies in place, or pick ‘em up by rolling around. Nab a whole bunch of ‘em together, then launch them off all at once! POW!
1	3	Ice			Brrr! So cold! Can you see your own breath? Make a chunk of ice, then kick it forward! Skate and slide wherever you go. You’ll even glide right over mud and magma!

1	3	Car-Mouth Kirby			Kirby gained the mysterious Mouthful Mode ability after he flew through that vortex… Now he can stuff an entire car into his mouth! When he does, he turns into a peppy, pink car that can jump and use Turbo Dash. It’s a nice day for a scenic drive. Turn up the radio!
