Security Force is a Mid-Boss in Kirby: Planet Robobot. It is a compact vaguely humanoid robot which resembles the Metal General from [[Kirby's Return to Dream Land|Template:KRtDL KAW]], but is painted white and bears the Haltmann Works Company logo on its head. Security Force is the last novel Mid-Boss that appears in the game, making its first appearance in the penultimate level of the game, Access Ark, where several can appear in a single stage. Instead of warping in like most Mid-Bosses, Security Force is already in place when Kirby runs into it, and activates with a warning siren when Kirby draws near enough to activate it. Security Force is also an obstacle during segments involving the [[Robobot Armor|Robobot ArmTemplate:Or]]'s Jet Mode. Here, it behaves more like a regular enemy, and can be destroyed with only a few hits.

Overview

Security Force's attacks are also similar to that of Metal General, in that it can fire missiles, perform flying dives, lay mines, produce energy bolts, and wield a laser sword. In addition, Security Force displays numbers whenever it takes damage, and when knocked down to half health, it is also staggered for a moment and starts to emit electricity, just like the transition between phases for Metal General. Due to only being a Mid-Boss, however, Security Force does not have many of the more elaborate attacks that Metal General has, most notably the ones involving big rockets and of course, the pairing with HR-D3 in the Extra Mode. When defeated, Security Force attempts to self-destruct, but can be destroyed before this process completes to avoid the fire field it leaves behind.

Security Force is the only mid-boss in Kirby: Planet Robobot that cannot be swallowed after its health bar is depleted. Despite this, its mines and missiles can be swallowed for the Bomb and Spark abilities, and its drones can be swallowed for the Beam ability.

Security Force 2.0 is an upgraded version of Security Force with an indigo paint-job and enhanced move-set. Unlike other mid-bosses in Kirby: Planet Robobot, Security Force 2.0 is not faced at any point in the Story Mode. Instead, it can only be encountered in Meta Knightmare Returns and The True Arena.

Attacks

Security Force 2.0

The following lists all of Security Force's attacks in Kirby: Planet Robobot.
*Attack names are conjectural.

Security Force's attacks
Attack Description Notes
Fan Dash
Security Force takes out its laser sword and spins it rapidly, then dashes forward, leaving a star behind.
Rapid Slash
Security Force takes out a laser sword and starts slashing rapidly. The finishing strike leaves a star on the ground behind it.
The Security Force may slash only once. No stars appear if this is done.
Lightning Shield
Security Force flies into the air and turns on a protective shield. Spark bolts zig-zag out of the shield in various directions.
A third wave of lightning is thrown out in the second phase, which fans out in all directions in a spiral pattern.
Missile Launch
Security Force fires a few wandering missiles from its cannon. These can be swallowed for the Bomb Copy Ability.
One missile can be launched before following up with a Fan Dash. Three missiles are launched in most cases. Five missiles are launched in the second phase.
Deploy Drones
Security Force deploys three small flying drones that pursue Kirby. Swallowing them yields the Beam ability.
Spin Dive
Security Force activates a small shield, then flies into a dive toward Kirby, creating stars where it lands.
Deploy Mines
Security Force tosses three mines on the ground, which explode on contact or after a set time. Can be swallowed for the Bomb ability.
Security Force 2.0 uses electrically-charged mines in the second phase which release lightning bolts when they detonate and grant the Spark ability if swallowed.
Deploy Bombing Drones
Security Force 2.0 deploys five small flying drones that hover high in the air. Swallowing them yields the Beam ability. The drones then start shooting blasts downward in a systematic fashion while Security Force 2.0 keeps a shield raised.
This move is only used by Security Force 2.0. The attack ends early if all the drones are destroyed.
Self-Destruct After its health is depleted, Security Force collapses on the ground as a big button appears in front of it. The robot then presses the button and rises in the air shortly afterwards. If it is not destroyed within a few seconds, it will explode, dealing a huge amount of damage to Kirby and Meta Knight and leaving behind a large pool of fire that lingers for a while. When fought in The Arena or The True Arena, the fire lingers for only a single second.
