Well, I have something special for you today. Have a sneak peek at our latest product, hot off the production line! It's been completely updated with the newest technology. It's capable of working for 24 hours without recharging... And it's been programmed to be a merciless fighting machine. We call it Mecha Knight+! I hope you like it. Have a nice day! Buh-bye!
— Susie in Kirby: Planet Robobot

Mecha Knight+ is a boss fought in Kirby: Planet Robobot, appearing as the boss of Access Ark. He is an upgraded version of Mecha Knight, which means to say that he is still Meta Knight under the thrall of the Haltmann Works Company. He now sports a red paint job, and fights in a very different manner to his original version.

After being reduced to scrap metal, Mecha Knight has received a major upgrade. Is there any way to restore him to his old self?
— vs Mecha Knight+ Pause Screen description in Kirby: Planet Robobot (British English)

The following lists all of Mecha Knight+'s attacks in Kirby: Planet Robobot. Most attack names are taken from Japanese strategy guides while others are derived from other sources or are conjectural.

Throughout the battle, Mecha Knight+ may take a guarding stance. Any attacks that hit him during this pose deal no damage.

Attacks - Phase 1
Attack Description
メガビームソード
Mega Beam Sword
Mecha Knight+ moves to the center of the arena and then supercharges his sword to make it huge. After performing "Triple Slash", "Down Thrust" and "Spin Splash" in any order, the sword returns to its original size.
3れんぎり
Triple Slash
Normally, Mecha Knight+ slashes three times with his sword, leaving a star after finishing the third slash. Under the effects of Mega Beam Sword, Mecha Knight+ swipes three times at Kirby, leaving behind a star with each swipe. He does this attack twice in a row, each time at different sides of the arena. If Kirby gets behind him during a set, he will turn around before continuing his swipes.
したづき
Down Thrust
Normally, Mecha Knight+ leaps into the air, then thrusts his sword downward, leaving stars when he impacts the ground. Under the effects of Mega Beam Sword, Mecha Knight+ leaps into the air, flies into the background, then dives into the ground, leaving two stars on impact. He does this attack three times in a row.
回てんぎり
Spin Slash
Normally, Mecha Knight+ charges up, then releases a powerful spin attack that can catch his opponent in the motion and leaves four stars when finishing. If Kirby is airborne during the charge up, Mecha Knight spins in the air instead of staying grounded à la Twister Slash. Under the effects of Mega Beam Sword, Mecha Knight+ moves to the center of the stage, and performs a massive spin attack with his sword, generating lightning from above and four stars in the process.
たてぎり
Overhead Slash
Mecha Knight+ throws out a quick strike with his sword, with very little forewarning.
うえつき
Up Thrust
Mecha Knight quickly thrusts his sword upward, only if Kirby is above him at the time.
ソード百れつぎり
Multisword Attack
Mecha Knight+ spins his sword in a fan-like motion, then finishes off by firing a beam from it straight forward, leaving two stars when the attack concludes.
スピニングビームソード
Spinning Beam Sword
Mecha Knight+ jumps through the air, and performs a spinning sword strike, leaving a star when he lands.
ファイナルビームソード
Final Beam Sword
Mecha Knight+ jumps with a vertical spinning slash. When he lands, his sword sends out a shockwave that travels across the floor.
ムーンビームショット
Crescent Beam Shot
Mecha Knight+ charges up and then throws out a Crescent Shot that travels across the stage and leaves a star on impact.
ショルダーランチャー
Shoulder Launcher
Mecha Knight+ leaps into the air, then quickly fires six missiles from his launchers. These can be inhaled and spat back or swallowed for the Bomb ability.
アイビーム
Eye Beam
Mecha Knight+ fires a series of lasers from its eyepiece. The last three leave stars on impact.
グライドソード
Glide Sword
Mecha Knight+ glides while thrusting his sword from the background and into the foreground twice. This is similar to the attack of the same name used by Dark Meta Knight's Revenge.
スパークトルネイドアタック
Spark Tornado Attack
Mecha Knight+ spins into a tornado, then flies off into the background. From there, he aims for his opponent and attempts to ram his target, leaving two stars as he passes. After this, he spins back down in a wave pattern from the top of the stage, leaving four more stars when he lands.

When Mecha Knight+ is knocked down to half health, he flies into the background. The apparatus on his back extends into a giant clawed tail, and he resumes fighting.

Additional attacks - Phase 2
Attack Description
バックアームズ
Back Arms
The apparatus on Mecha Knight+'s back extends into a giant clawed tail, which is used for the "Arms Punch," "Rush Punch," "Arms Grip" and "Arms Hold" attacks in no particular order. Afterwards, the tail retracts.
アームズパンチ
Arms Punch
Mecha Knight+ charges, then smashes his claw tail into the ground, leaving two stars on impact. He does this three times in a row before proceeding to use "Rush Punch." If Kirby gets behind him during the attack, then he repositions to the other side of the stage before attempting to smash the claw tail again.
ラッシュパンチ
Rush Punch
Mecha Knight+'s claw tail delivers a rapid series of punches, finishing with a punch into the wall that leaves two stars.
アームズグリップ
Arms Grip
Mecha Knight+ grounds his claw tail, then lifts himself into the air. From there, he starts firing five beams from his sword at Kirby. The beams leave stars on impact. He does this attack twice, repositioning to the other side of the stage for the second set.
アームズホールド
Arms Hold
Mecha Knight+ flies into the background and spins his claw tail rapidly before swinging it into the foreground in an attempt to grab Kirby with it. If successful, Mecha Knight+ twirls the claw tail really quickly, dealing rapid chip-damage to Kirby in the process, before breaking the fourth wall by hurling him straight into the screen. He does this attack twice in a row, with the second instance going off sooner. The attack ends early if Kirby gets caught in the attack.
メガアイビーム
Mega Eye Beam
From the center of the stage, Mecha Knight+ charges up and fires four large lasers upwards from his eyepiece. Each one leaves a star behind. Immediately afterward, Mecha Knight+ flies off the stage, and causes debris to fall on Kirby in five waves. The larger pieces leave stars on impact.
プラズマウォーク
Plasma Walk
Mecha Knight+ moves to the center of the arena and charges a large electric field around himself, which will hurt Kirby if he gets too close. He leaves stars as he approaches Kirby.
3Dたつまき雷めい
3D Thunder Tornado
Mecha Knight+ flies into the background and, after brief charge-up periods, stabs his sword into the ground to summon large pillars of lightning that travel from the background to the foreground in either the left or right sides of the arena. He summons three lightning pillars in a row.
3れんぎり〜ソード百れつぎり
Triple Slash ~ Multisword Attack
Mecha Knight+ slashes three times then spins his sword in a fan-like motion before unleashing a Crescent Shot, all in a row.
3D Eye Beam[conjectural title]
Mecha Knight+ charges up, then releases a continuous laser from his eyepiece, which he uses to sweep across the stage, leaving two stars on the other side of the stage. The laser beam is bigger compared to the earlier battle in Gigabyte Grounds.
ショルダーランチャー
Shoulder Launcher
Mecha Knight+ leaps into the air, then quickly fires six missiles from his launchers. These can be inhaled and spat back or swallowed for the Bomb ability. He may do this twice after repositioning.
ムーンビームショット
Crescent Beam Shot
Mecha Knight+ charges up and then throws out three Crescent Shots that travel across the stage and leave stars on impact.

Once Mecha Knight+ is defeated, the claw tail explodes, and a moment later, Mecha Knight+'s mask breaks off as well, showing his face briefly before he flies off.

Other Appearances

Mecha Knight+ is also fought in The Arena.

Mecha Knight+ has no 2.0 variant, but many of his attacks are incorporated into those of Stock Mecha Knight.

Music

Main article: VS. Meta Knight

Mecha Knight+'s theme, titled 己が精神との闘い (Battle with the Inner Spirit) in the Japanese soundtrack and titled "Inner Struggle" in English, is a remix of Meta Knight's boss battle theme from Kirby Super Star. It is reused in Kirby Star Allies when Meta Knight is fought on the Soul Melter difficulty and when Parallel Meta Knight's first phase is fought on Soul Melter EX of The Ultimate Choice.
