Sir Kibble is a commonly recurring enemy throughout the Kirby series that has appeared in many games, including spinoffs. Sir Kibble (called Load Kibble in Kirby's Dream Land 2, SirKibble in Kirby Super Star, and Sirkibble in Kirby's Dream Land 3 and Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards), is a commonly recurring enemy throughout the Kirby series that has appeared in every main-series title, with only scant representation in spin-off games. Sir Kibble himself has never possessed an incredibly major role in any specific game, only appearing as a basic enemy or as a helper, most notably giving Kirby the Cutter Copy Ability when inhaled and swallowed. Sir Kibble's appearance is that of a round, spherical, metallic suit of armor that shrouds whatever may be inside in complete darkness. The top part of his helmet is a detachable blade-like weapon which he uses for all methods of attack. When Sir Kibble guards, he closes his helmet.

Sir Kibble mainly attacks Kirby by taking the blade off his helmet and hurling it at him. It then returns to him, similarly to a boomerang. If Kirby happens to be above his eyesight, Sir Kibble will usually jump before throwing his blade. Sir Kibble is often the main representative of the Cutter ability, and as such, serves as the helper for that ability in both Kirby Super Star/KSSU and Kirby Star Allies.

A larger cousin to Sir Kibble called Kibble Blade serves as a Mid-Boss in a number of games in the series. Kibble Blade and Sir Kibble share many similar characteristics, but Kibble Blade has more detailed armor and defaults to an iron gray color.

Sir Kibble appears as a Character Treat in Kirby's Dream Buffet, using his sprite from Kirby's Dream Land 2. Notably, he is referred to here as "Lord Kibble", which was likely meant to be the correct translation for "Load Kibble", the name he is known by in that game.

In the Kirby novel series
In the Kirby novel series, Sir Kibble appears as a secondary character in Kirby and the Dangerous Gourmet Mansion?!. He is one of the three thieves who kidnaps Mrs. Parfaitski, with the other two being Wheelie and Walky. Sir Kibble is the main spokesperson of the group, and is the second member to appear.

When Kirby, King Dedede, and Meta Knight reach a cliff, they notice a suspension bridge connecting it to the other side of the shore. Sir Kibble cuts the bridge, and quickly reveals himself. He is described as an inhabitant of Dream Land who normally serves King Dedede, and his cutter is strong enough to cut even steel. Sir Kibble starts fighting with the three. Kirby quickly drops the Wheel ability he had gained earlier and inhales Sir Kibble to obtain the Cutter ability. Wheelie, who was now released, is forced to lead the three to the cave where Mrs. Parfaitski is held hostage. After they get there and meet Walky, Wheelie requests that Kirby releases Sir Kibble. Kirby drops the Cutter ability, restoring him, who is angered and hurt. After Wheelie calms Sir Kibble, the two explain that they kidnapped Mrs. Parfaitski because she was cruel to her chefs and locked them up due to her picky and unnecessary dissatisfaction with their food. Sir Kibble then leads them all to where an angry Mrs. Parfaitski is tied up. Kirby inhales Walky to gain the Mike ability and sing an ear-splitting song, much to everyone's displeasure. This causes the cave to eventually collapse, and the group rushes out. Sir Kibble mutters that he thinks Kirby is the strongest in Dream Land, and later remarks that Walky was lucky to miss out on the song. With Mrs. Parfaitski finally giving in, the group returns to her mansion to free the locked away chefs.

Sir Kibble also makes a minor appearance in Kirby: Uproar at the Kirby Café?!. He joins the staff of the Dedede Café as being responsible for cutting fruits and cakes with his cutter.

— Guest Star Sir Kibble Cutting in Style Pause Screen description in Kirby Star Allies

Sir Kibble is often the main representative of the Cutter ability, and as such, serves as the helper for that ability in both Kirby Super Star/Kirby Super Star Ultra and Kirby Star Allies.

A larger cousin to Sir Kibble called Kibble Blade serves as a Mid-Boss in a number of games in the series. Kibble Blade and Sir Kibble share many similar characteristics, but Kibble Blade has more detailed armor and defaults to an iron gray color.

Kirby's Dream LandEdit

Sir Kibble made his debut in Kirby's Dream Land. He mainly sits in place and throws his cutter boomerangs at regular intervals. Since Copy Abilities would not debut until the next game in the series, inhaling and swallowing Sir Kibble here yields nothing except for 500 points (1000 if he is defeated using a projectile).

Sir Kibble appears in Bubbly Clouds and Mt. Dedede in the main game. In the Extra Game, he is replaced by Boomer.

Kirby's Adventure / Kirby: Nightmare in Dream LandEdit

Tornado Kirby passing by some Sir Kibbles in trees in Kirby's Adventure.

Sir Kibble appears in Kirby's Adventure and its remake, Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land, now providing the Cutter ability for the first time. This title introduced Sir Kibble's tendency to jump over his own blade when trying to hit Kirby from behind.

In Kirby's Adventure and Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land, Sir Kibble can be found in the following levels and stages:

Kirby's Dream Land 2Edit

Sir Kibble has a slight redesign in Kirby's Dream Land 2 and is named Load Kibble (likely a mistranslation of "Lord Kibble", which is what he is referred to as in Kirby's Dream Buffet). Apart from this, he acts the same as usual.

Kirby Super Star / Kirby Super Star UltraEdit

Sir Kibble appears in Kirby Super Star and its remake, Kirby Super Star Ultra. Here, he can be summoned as a helper by transforming a Cutter ability hat. As a helper, Sir Kibble gains access to all of Cutter Kirby's moves, and also gains access to the coveted Infinity Jump, but he has less overall health than the pink puffball.

In Kirby Super Star Ultra, Sir Kibble also has his own slot in the Boss Endurance mode Helper to Hero.

He has a habit of holding still and launching a cutter from either a grounded position or after making a jump. Sir Kibble appears on the 29th Enemy Info Card.

Kirby's Dream BuffetEdit

Sir Kibble appears as a Character Treat in Kirby's Dream Buffet, using his sprite from Kirby's Dream Land 2. Notably, he is referred to here as "Lord Kibble", which was likely meant to be the correct translation for "Load Kibble", the name he is known by in that game.

Super Smash Bros. seriesEdit

Super Smash Bros. BrawlEdit

Sir Kibble appears as a trophy in Super Smash Bros. Brawl:

In the Kirby novel seriesEdit

TriviaEdit

 • What exactly is inside Sir Kibble's armor is a mystery, which is played up by his Kirby Star Allies Guest Star description. His Super Smash Bros. for Wii U trophy description hints that he might just be an animated suit of armor, with nothing inside.
