Collect the stars to attack King Dedede!
— In-game description (unofficial translation)

Round Clear is one of the five game modes of Kirby's Star Stacker for the Super Famicom. In it, the objective is to clear each round by stacking the required number of stars before a Game Over scenario can occur. King Dedede serves as the main antagonist in this game-mode, who causes more rows to appear during rounds, and the objective is to reduce his HP to zero by stacking stars. There are four distinct difficulties to clear, and clearing all four difficulties is required to complete the game.

Round Clear by difficulty[edit]

There are four difficulties to choose from in Round Clear, named "Normal", "Hard", "Super Hard", and "Insane". The last difficulty of "Insane" is not available to play until the previous three are cleared. Each difficulty comes with a preset number of rounds, along with set star requirements for each round. Unlike in the Game Boy version, there is no opening taunt from King Dedede, no differing theme for each difficulty, no clear illustrations, and no time out sections. When a difficulty is completed, the player is treated to a special stage performance of the Kirby Dance.

  • If the game is paused long enough, both Kirby and King Dedede will fall asleep.
