"City Trial: City (Backside)" is a theme from Kirby Air Ride. It was composed by Hirokazu Ando.[1]

Game appearances

Kirby Air Ride

The theme appears for the first time in Kirby Air Ride. It plays in the City Trial mode and replaces City Trial: City as an alternate theme for the city. In order to listen to it, the X or Y buttons must be held while starting a game of City Trial. It also has a small chance of playing randomly. It can be unlocked as track 43 in the game's Sound Test by completing the Checklist objective: "Pick up a total of 1,000 items!".

Kirby's Dream Collection Special Edition

The original version is one of the themes that can play in the Fighter Combat Chamber and the Smash Combat Chamber in the New Challenge Stages mode.

Kirby: Planet Robobot

The original version of the theme plays in the Quest against Landia EX in the Team Kirby Clash Sub-Game. It can be found as track 75 of the game's Jukebox.

Kirby's Dream Buffet

A remix of the theme can play as a theme for Battle Royales and is available at the start. It was arranged by Yuki Shimooka.

Trivia

  • In Kirby Star Allies, several songs from previous games went unused, but can still be found in the game's files. "City Trial: City (Backside)" is one of them, it can be found as a file called "TTSUBCITY2", which is the same name used for it in Kirby: Planet Robobot.
