"Peanut Plains"[2] is a stage theme from Kirby Super Star. Along with "Kirby's Triumphant Return", it is one of the recurring motifs of its game of origin.

Composition[edit]

Beam Kirby encounters a pair of Lovelies guarding the candy.

Peanut Plains is a moderately fast theme that is primarily in C major. The intro of the song has the bass of the song in A♭ major that goes a whole step up (B♭ Major). It does this again (with more instruments), but this time, it goes to the key of C. The first portion of the theme plays the main melody, which has its famed motif. It plays this another time, but ends with a C note. On the second portion, it goes to E-flat major with a somewhat slower melody. After this portion, the song loops.

Game appearances[edit]

Kirby Super Star / Kirby Super Star Ultra[edit]

In Kirby Super Star and Kirby Super Star Ultra, the base track plays in Peanut Plains and Floria. A slow variation of this theme can also be heard as "The Great Cave Offensive", the cutscene music for the eponymous game.

Additionally, the melody of "Peanut Plains" serves as the main motif of the game, appearing in different variations as the basis of "Boss Battle", as well as individual sections of tracks such as "King Dedede's Theme", "Gourmet Race", "Corn Hall", and "Vs. Marx".

Kirby: Triple Deluxe[edit]

In Kirby: Triple Deluxe, there are two remixes of this theme. One is a winter themed remix called "Silver Snow Story". This remix is more peaceful and contains instrumentation such as bells and a piano. It is primarily heard in Old Odyssey - Stage 4.

The other remix can be heard in the secondary Staff Credits theme along with Green Greens. This version is in A major and is played by an acoustic guitar and violins.

Team Kirby Clash Deluxe[edit]

In Team Kirby Clash Deluxe, an arrangement of the aforementioned alternate Staff Credits theme from Kirby: Triple Deluxe serves as the profile and quest results music. The original version of this theme theme appears as the default credits theme available at the start of the game.

Super Kirby Clash[edit]

In Super Kirby Clash, the Team Kirby Clash Deluxe arrangement of the profile and results theme reprises its role, exclusively as the profile theme.

Kirby's Dream Buffet[edit]

The original version of the theme, named "Kirby Super Star: Memorial Song 1" in-game, is available to play in races and Free Rolling upon unlocking it at Gourmet Rank 55.

Other appearances[edit]

The theme was performed live at the Kirby 30th Anniversary Music Festival as part of the Kirby Through the Years: 1993-2004 medley, along with "Drawing Song", "Title Screen" from Kirby's Adventure, "Grass Land" from Kirby's Dream Land 2, "Candy Mountain", "The Last Iceberg", "Heading for 0²", and "Ending" from Kirby & The Amazing Mirror.
