Banishback is an enemy from Kirby Mass Attack which appears solely in Volcano Valley - Stage 4. It is a translucent purple cloud beast with a creepy smile which comes in different sizes. It can be seen patrolling areas or holding still, and can pass through walls. It can also phase in and out of existence. If even one of the Kirbys touches a Banishback, the creature will swallow all of them and spit them back to a previous area of the stage. If this happens, any pertinent obstacles that the Kirbys may have previously overcome before being sent back - such as enemies and blocks - will regenerate. Banishback cannot be harmed by anything other than Jumbo Candy, and it is ultimately harmless, if not a nuisance. Defeating a Banishback grants the player 500 points.
One of the Checklist objectives ("Forward Mover") is for the Kirbys to make it through Volcano Valley - Stage 4 without ever touching a Banishback and without using a shortcut.
Locations[edit]
As mentioned above, Banishbacks appear only in Volcano Valley - Stage 4.
