The book features a simple story in which the Kirby Printer goes havoc and starts creating Kirby copy after Kirby copy, causing tumult in Dream Land. At the end of the book, the Kirby Printer breaks from having created too many Kirbys, and only the original Kirby remains once again.
The primary purpose of the book is to act as a hidden object game. In each two-page spread, a number of Kirbys appear in a specific setting (most are pink, but some feature other colors), and the reader is challenged to find specific characters and elements hidden within the scene. Every spread features five distinct characters to find: a Kirby carrying the Star Rod, a Kirby carrying a flag, a Kirby wearing a bandage, a Kirby wearing a purse, and a Waddle Dee holding a camera. Beyond that, each spread also has a few unique elements to find, with one always being Kirby with a specific Copy Ability.
Each page also contains many cameos from other characters and elements within the Kirby series, which are not counted as part of the game.

This illustration is based on The Great Cave Offensive, featuring all four locations of that game, many of their treasures, as well as some of its bosses and enemies. The Squeaks are also present, reflecting their interest in treasure.

This illustration is based on Gourmet Race, featuring dozens of Kirbys racing against King Dedede while they eat all sorts of food. In particular, the food featured is only food found in Kirby Super Star, and many food items only present in the Japanese version of the game appear in the illustration, such as taiyaki, norimaki, and sushi.
The Kirby copies came to the outer space with shining stars!

This illustration is themed around Kirby Star Allies, and shows a scene in a space location similar to the one in the boxart of the game. It features many Friend Abilities, all Friends, Dream Friends, Friend Actions, as well as all Copy Abilities present in the game and some other elements.
In the end, the Kirby copies came to the Fountain of Dreams!
”
— Unofficial translation of the illustration description
This illustration features the Fountain of Dreams, as well as pictures of all previous locations of this book, which are implied to be from the Waddle Dee with a camera present in every illustration, as this one features them showing the pictures to a Kirby.
The Wheelie Rider Kirby in the Battleship Halberd illustration references the ending of Revenge of Meta Knight.
The ability designs in the illustrations mostly reflect the game they are based from. For example, in The Great Cave Offensive, Plasma Kirby has its original design from Kirby Super Star and Kirby Super Star Ultra (and even the coloration present in the remake), while in Outer Space Plasma Kirby uses the design from Kirby Star Allies, as that illustration is based on it.
Similarly, Beam Kirby also has a different body color in The Great Cave Offensive, matching the color it gains in Kirby Super Star and Kirby Super Star Ultra, but in other illustrations the Kirby remains pink when in possession of Beam, matching other games.
However, while Suplex Kirby also uses its design from Kirby Super Star and Kirby Super Star Ultra in The Great Cave Offensive, and uses its Kirby Star Allies design in Outer Space, in the former the ability does not provide any change on Kirby's body color like in those games, and Kirby remains pink.
