- This article is about the stage in Kirby's Epic Yarn. For the Halberd in a more general context, see Halberd.
Battleship Halberd is the last stage and the second extra stage of Dream Land in Kirby's Epic Yarn and Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn, unlocked by clearing Meta Melon Isle and obtaining the Galaxia Sword Patch. This stage is a flythrough of the Halberd and some familiar fights using the Star Shooter Metamortex. This is the final stage in the game.
This stage is the inspiration for Stage 4 of Slash & Bead in Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn.
Patch animation[edit]
Upon throwing the patch, a replica of the Galaxia appears and swipes several times through the clouds, then vanishes. This done, the clouds disperse and the Halberd flies into position. It then activates its wings and thrusters, prompting the door to open.
Overview[edit]
This stage begins with Kirby picking up the Star Shooter Metamortex on an isolated metal platform. From here, Kirby starts flying forward, as Bronto Burts carrying Spear Waddle Dees come out to meet him. From there, Kirby has to face some UFOs before finally reaching the Halberd proper. Kirby flies above the deck as he shoots down cannons while dealing with more Bronto Burts, this time carrying missiles. From here, Kirby has to battle the Combo Cannon before proceeding. Once that is destroyed, he can head inside the ship. In here, he will have to wind past several hallways filled with cannons and enemies. At the end of this path, Kirby has to face down the Reactor, which is equipped with two very nasty Flamethrowers that can shoot all the way across the room. If Kirby manages to overcome this threat, he can then reach the Reel Gate and complete the stage.

Keeping this sword around will make you dashing and decorative.
Putting on this mask gives one a sense of mystery…and a sense of sitting in the dark.
This classic tune was in Kirby's Dream Land. Now you can hear it on the battleship Halberd! |
Trivia[edit]
- In the American English version of the games, the in-game description for this song's CD incorrectly states it as being from Kirby's Dream Land, when it is originally from Kirby Super Star, a mistake that persists with all arrangements from previous Kirby games. The British English versions correctly state it's from the Kirby series instead. This may be due to the Japanese name for Kirby's Dream Land, Hoshi no Kirby, also being the name of the series as a whole.
