Gate Core[Japanese title] is a cannon-laden obstacle from Kirby's Epic Yarn and Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn. It can be found in three places in the Moon Base stage of Space Land. The space reactor is a machine with two or more re-directing cannons and a core on a wire which moves back and forth. Kirby can attack the core using the Tankbot transformation to destroy it, though it takes four missile hits to defeat (with a short amount of post-hit invulnerability after each one). When hit the first time, the core will open up to show its core crystal, and each subsequent hit changes the crystal's color before it is destroyed.
Trivia[edit]
- This is one of the few significant enemies in the game which does not have an entry in the Cast menu from Patch Plaza. As such, it does not have an official name in the English release. It is instead named only in the Japanese manual for the game.
